What will use them for? If you are looking at them for QB's to throw it can do more harm with their mechanics then good in terms of improving their arm strength.

I think Johnson would win due to the fact he would change his offense to fit somewhat with the conference he was playing in.

I just got done watching HBO Real Sports, and they had a story on high school offensive lineman. In this story they talked about high school offensive lineman were getting bigger and bigger. What almost made me sick about this is the fact high school coaches are encouraging their lineman to get up to 320-340 pounds because they think it will help them get scholarships. I can guarantee you this is not the case, due to the fact when lineman get this big they lose almost all mobility and this handicaps a lot of offenses. I coach at a Junior College which is rated in the top 5 and one of our biggest concern is the fact our lineman are to dam big. I also still don’t see why people think if you are big you are stronger. I don’t think this makes any sense due to the fact most of the weight these lineman are adding is fat and not muscle.
Ok I am done with my rant I am curious to see what other people think about this including offensive line coaches.

2 ideas 1. If the school has any kind of football success (80’s or 90’s) talk about how you want to bring the team back to those years. Also invite players from that time back to talk to your team.
2. Have some type of halftime event, like a school night where you honor school members somehow. This way people will at least come for the halftime show, and will see your team play at the same time.

A category I would include would be the off-season. I mean how do they build chemistry in the weight room, at camps, etc...

I always like to go with an answer they already know is a weakness for me. For example I am just out of college so when it comes to this question I usually answer lack of experience.

This is a call you have to make, but don't blow off a job just because they had a bad past. This is a program that might be on the track to getting turned around. Try and find out what the HC is trying to do to turn the program around and if you think it will work then I would take the job.

This off-season I am trying to research the physiology and Biomechanics of the quarterback position. (things like does a side arm release cause a low ball, etc…) Anyways I am having a real tough time finding sites that talk about things like this and I was hoping someone here could give me some sites or places that would help me gather the information I need for this project.

I have always liked for players to go to the local elementary and read to students or do some type of project with them. This allows the players to work with younger kids and also the young kids get a big kick out of the “star” player working with them.

The key is the program you go to. Some schools will have a bunch of me 1st players like dubber was talking about and other schools won't have these players because they cut or get rid of these types of players. The key is the program you are in.
Also the big thing in D3 is that recruiting is more intense because there is no letter of intent which says that the player can't go else where so you have to recruit the player until the day he steps on campus.

The only real concern is now what happens when the 3-year starter moves on. I mean if you don’t have another QB in line, then you might be hurting the kid you switched if you switch him back to QB. This is due to the fact he could have had another year to develop as a QB before the varsity needs him. Oh well hopefully you have another solid backup QB somewhere in your system.

When I was at UNI we used to bring in speakers that played crowd noise. This might be over a high school budget, but heck you could even line up a couple of stereos and have them play music loud so you can work on playing in a noisy environment.

I would allow him to miss the game. I lost my grandpa last year, and I know if it had been during the season (It was during spring ball and I missed about half a week) I would have took at least one game off since football was the farthest thing from my mind. The order for me is God, Family and Friends, School and then Football.
