I put them on a 1’x12’. Then I sell them or give them to local businesses that donate to the programs.

Every program has a culture and identity.
I don’t really have an issues with it unless the coach is a hypocrite and doesn’t practice what he preaches.

Coaches, I have just been hired as a Physical Education teacher, but I have only taught Social Studies. The obvious difference is the classroom setting: Classroom vs Gymnasium. However, the school is a small charter schoo that has told me, even for PE, the gym won't be able to be used for PE classes (they eat lunch in the gym). QUESTIONS: 1. What are the different ways that Physical Education can be taught? - I know a guy that he actually spends some time in a classroom teaching a sport, THEN will take kids outisde the following days - I know some schools where you are in the gym everyday, all day 2. How can you teach Physical Education without a gym? Do a Google search on a curriculum model called "Sport Education". It is a lot of fun. A guy named Daryl Seidentop is pretty much the #1 SE guru. Is the best way to do high school PE. IMO

It’s great seeing him back on the sideline.

Our school system has a drug testing program. No matter what drug a student test positive for on the test, they go to a tobacco education class. Well, fewer kids are using tobacco than ever, so it must be working, right? Oh yeah. Pretty much killed the Skoal patrol around here

An AD understanding the importance of the weight room for all sports and genders would be the biggest, IMO.

I wonder how many schools would actually be running the same offense or defense though from a kid being in 3rd or 4th grade till being a senior.
It just doesn't seem like the juice is worth the squeeze, unless it's a special circumstance

That they like football and know how to work hard.
Anything else is a plus. But I’m big in always staring out every year like the kids don’t know anything and then build from there.

I just went with a team tee shirt this year instead of the coaching polo.
We went 9-1 so it didn’t seem to hurt anything.

How the hell do you play a football game with 6 kids?
You have to have 7 on the line or it’s a penalty.
Just reread it and it’s 6 man ball. Never mind

A coach i used to work with told me that Frosh level football is the most important, because it is where you teach them everything but instinct. He told me that no matter what kind of kids you think you're getting you always have to explain everything never say something in football terminology and expect them to know. We literally sat the kids in the class room and described to them what a TE was or what a WR was. We talked about Playside vs Backside, Strong side vs Weakside, what is a gap, etc. I think this is something that needs to be done everywhere because most kids just dont know the basics of football when they hit 9th grade. John Wooden used to teach his freshmen how to put their socks on properly. That and questionable recruiting practices will make you an all time great coach.

I think this football IQ stuff gets made a bigger deal than it is.
I played for a HOF coach that won over 300 games and he didn’t have the first clue what a 1 tech or 3 tech was, but he could still coach the hell out of some football.
He just taught it his way.

Obviously don't know all the facts and expect everyone to get their due process. But like others said, this reminds me a bit of Penn State. IF someone in the organization knew and concealed it, it's just another example of how the basic values of the game ( or just basic values in general) have been overshadowed by $$$$$$$$. Word is the guy was a great recruiter. I’ve heard he was the bag man on staff. Which does complicate things a bit I guess.

If you will keep the kids staying committed to them, a lot of D1 schools funnel kids to a school with that reputation.

Anyone still do jumping jacks and static stretching? I know of plenty of teams that still static stretch and do jumping jacks...if it was good enough for the coach back in 1980 whatever, then gosh darnit its good enough for kids now Coach needs time to {censored} a little or on a pissed off day can yell at fat Freddy about his form.
