How old is the program?
If they’ve never been good and have been around for awhile, that’s generally a community issue.
Hard to turn a program around when the ones raising the kids have no standards or accountability. You’ll be the {censored} they try to run off before changing

Prayers for his family.
I added stupid sweep late in the year one year for fun and our kids loved it. Bruce did an amazing job of putting stuff out there for coaches and will be missed

Sounds like he’s now on comfort care and just waiting to pass and has been unresponsive since the heart attack.
That’s sad he was one of my favorite personalities in the college game and was real and interesting while so many sell a {censored} public image

I don’t think the actual vertical integration is that big of a needle mover, but communities that support and make it work generally care and actually want to see sports succeed.
Having that kind of commitment and culture is a huge edge in building a successful program

Find a local auctioneer and get with the local fire department. have a football and firefighter auction and dinner where the public donates estate items to be auctioned off and money split between the fire department and football program

Classroom teachers will be obsolute in the not-too-distant future. All instruction will be via video or online. I don't think that's true. I didn't believe it before but after the public's experience with distance learning during covid I really doubt that the public has any appetite for distance learning. Won’t be distant. the building will be there for those that need/want to send their kids to school, but the district/state teacher will be remote. Teacher aids will be used to supervision and to monitor the class. You will still have a few teachers in the building for sped, and probably PE. my district this year has already went this route with kids that need speech, and it’s done through telecommunications now instead of having a speech pathologist in the building. they’ll also see the money saved and the headaches it is to hire quality math and English teachers. So, they’ll just hire a few and let them teach to The Whole district instead of 20-30 kids at a time.

I'd give half them other duties besides coaching and just keep the best 4 or 5 out of the bunch for on field coaching. That sounds like way too many cooks in the kitchen to me for that number of players if all 10 are on field coaches.

I think the project type players will be offered a preferred walk on and schools will have NIL deals in place to cover their education and to give them some money.
I know Tennessee recently done this with a local player that suffered an injury and had his offer pulled from another school.

Seems to be centered around the fake vaccine card and that souring the relationship with the Bucs leadership the last few weeks.
Brown went nuclear and most likely ended his career in a historic fashion, most likely intentionally since he released some stuff afterwards playing on the attention and media coverage.
Some people are just crazy and {censored}. No need in trying to flesh out all the reasons or make excuses for them.

Have reasonable and meaningful clearly stated standards that you will actually enforce and hold everyone accountable too
be a decent and respectful man and expect your players and your assistant coaches to act the same.
I think that covers the culture stuff without it becoming fake or feeling like something you’re pushing just for social media likes

Going to make the athletic side get more into marketing and getting their brand out there. I think with the internet and social media now. The smaller schools can compete, since eyes aren't solely tied a handful of the traditional broadcasting networks. Look at what Deion pulled off yesterday. I think at the lower division schools, stuff like what Deion did will make things even more unequal. Deion reportedly got that kid hooked up with a $1 million deal before he ever plays a down of college football. If that’s the cost to compete in the FCS now, and only a few FCS programs turn any profit, imagine how much Alabama is going to need to pay out next year to keep all those 4 and 5 stars coming. The program didn't pay that cost though. A private company paid it due to their connections to Deion. I think that's a big difference.

I think it will hurt a lot of traditional powers more than the lower level teams, and will level the playing field a bit. Look at teams like Auburn that already had their boosters running a well oiled machine on funneling money to recruits. Now they just lost that edge, because every program can do it without fear of getting caught. The thing that’s going to potentially hurt your Auburns of the world is going to be the ability for teams with national media reach, like USC and Notre Dame, to offer more and bigger regional and national deals for players. It also lowers the value or need for athletic scholarships. Why give a kid $20k a year for school when you’ve hooked him up with a $500k NIL deal? This could lead to a lot of big time players going to major programs as “walk ons” and effectively makes scholarship limits (or reductions as part of sanctions) a moot point. Going to make the athletic side get more into marketing and getting their brand out there. I think with the internet and social media now. The smaller schools can compete, since eyes aren't solely tied a handful of the traditional broadcasting networks. Look at what Deion pulled off yesterday.

Not too weird, more of a gamesmanship thing, but one team in our district had timer clocks in the end zone They go to the wing t and they disappeared…..lol A local school was a Double Tights T school, always had been, and were very good at it. When the school system got the funds to add play clocks to all the facilities their HC refused. Privately he said the refs always gave you a few seconds longer without them and he wanted to shorten the games lol no doubt this is true. also they’ll give you more time if you huddle instead of going no huddle and just calling in the play at the LOS

10 110’s in 10 minutes.
If it works for you, that’s great. But also seems like a good way, to run off the big guys from playing football

I dont think tackle football, at the going rate, is going to be legal at and on any level in 10-15 years. And it will be the least of our concerns. Sounds like we will have a true national divorce then and the country will break up into other countries. This is just another issue that seems to have two totally different perspectives depending on where you live. I don’t see certain regions in our country just giving up football

You have to be mindful of their legs and what you’re asking of them, because it’s easy to grind them into dust with these numbers.
Don’t bitch and moan about the numbers but brag on what you have. They’re badass playing iron man football and make it a sense of pride for them.
That doesn’t mean you won’t have have periods of physical practice but they’re limited and have a purpose.
We’re not banging to just be banging. In a lot of ways it will make you a better coach in the long term because it makes you condense your coaching points down so you can plug and play easily.
I think single wing and double wing for QB. I’ve went single wing because it eliminates a lot of backfield football so a less experienced coach can handle backs, while your best coach works with the line.
I think the split 4-4 is about the best small roster and staff defense too.
Inside backers and DT can basically be gap pluggers while you build an umbrella with you best players at DE, OLB, S and C

Michigan announced Friday 8-14 it is moving football to next spring. When-how TBD. Why? You all seem to have already went through hell on getting herd immunity and seem to have leveled off on cases and have an extremely low number of deaths per day.
