Yes it is on the HS level. I have been there a year, and we will run the same scheme we did last year. It's a system I know well. We have two more weeks of summer practice before we start preparing for the season. Do ya'll try to have all the playbook in before the first game, or put in the basics and then add to it? What are some main things you look for in film?

Yesterday the HC told me I had been promoted to DC. Do you have any advice for a first year coordinator? Game Planning, Practice, play calling, adjustments...?

We still have plenty of players that go both ways, so we have to have major and minor. Hopefully in a couple of years we can have all one way players.

He would be dismissed from our team.

Focus on your base offense and add from there.

I am currently at a school that didn't lift weights until our staff got here. You can probably predict how well we've done.

Alabama has 6 classes. Each Team is in an 8-team region in their classification. Each Team will play 7 region games and 3 non-region games each year. In the non-region games your team can play any school in the state regardless of the classification.

I think one basic philosophy should stay the same: your scheme should be revolved around your players. Personel is going to change year to year, so some things should be tweaked every year. Now, I'm not saying going from wing-t to spread, to power I from year to year. But tweak the system to feature your players.

In the past I have done the two practices back to back and also the morning practice and then the afternoon practice. I like the two practices back to back much better. As a coach you don't have to worry about having players miss practice, and you have more time in the evenings with your family. Between practice the players eat snacks and go inside to the locker room.

No, I just want the DVDs on my computer so I can burn them to a DVD when I trade.

Here's what I am trying to do. My coaching videos are on VHS. I have burned them to DVD without any problems. I want to rip those DVDs to my computer so when I need to trade, all I have to do is burn them from my computer.
I am also very basic in computer knowledge, so any help would be great. Also, thanks to everyone that has already responded.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you rip a DVD to a computer.

Does anyone have any materials on this? Any rules? We played against Pilot Point back when G.A. was there and I don't think they ran it every down did they? Are the coverages Cover 3 and man-free?

Our staff is all of the above as well. I think we are professional while having a good time coaching football.

We went 2-8 last year (first year at the school for the staff). We should win at least 3 more games. We have a lineman that should go D-1, but doesn't have the work ethic.

Teenagers are teenagers. I wish my kids would make everyone of their workouts, but they are going to miss what we allow them.

Depends on the type of kids you have. I am starting to become a believer in the Wing-T. You might not have great athletes, and this offense can be more of an equalizer.

What does it take to get rid of a losing attitude in a program? We are in year 2 of a rebuilding process, and I feel we are doing all the right things: good weight/speed program, working fundamentals, lots of 7-on-7 reps, discipline, more kids in the program. What is it going to take to get to the next level?

How many of you face this offense?
