Any suggestions on stopping it?
How many of you face this offense?

The true Notre Dame box is illegal now (more than one player moves w/o resetting for at least one count), what version are you seeing? Not likely that I can help you, just curious.

Coach: The "static" version of the Box has been around since shortly after they changed the rule on Rockne...there is a download for a youth version floating around. It's essentially a single wing variant these days.

As someone who ran the offense and coached the offense as well. It depends on the tendencies of the offense. Just as any offense.
Look for if they pull the Guards or use the blocking back more, the LBers can key those.
Adjusting your defensive formation to the box can be done effectively as well.
Email me and we can discuss.

You would think wouldn't you. We play a team every year that runs the box and they have two guys moving all the time and it's rarely called. I think he'll take the five yards, because he think they won't call it every time.
Find out who they are pulling and key him. Find out if they false key with that person. If you have a good Mike he could make 20 plus tackles if you cover him up.
Are they more sweep oriented or spinner and the such?

Coach: The "static" version of the Box has been around since shortly after they changed the rule on Rockne.... Yeah, Rockne really sculpted motion rules as we know them today *he use to motion many men at once they changed the rule *he said ok, and started having his players rock back and forth, not motioning, just swaying side to side, and then exploding in the direction they were suppose to whne the ball was snapped they changed the rule

I have never seen film of his adjustment to the first rule change. Just genius. Sorry about the miscall on the ND Box. I had never heard anyone refer to the single wing as that, learn something new everyday.
