We both teach at the same school, and it has been very good for us. A lot of times in the offseason we ride together. We never see each other during the day, even though her classroom is down the hall from me. If we move, I hope we are at the same school again.

I forgot how much they are, but you can get them cheaper if you went through a sporting goods supplier.

We've got you beat. In our state we have to buy wilson footballs from the state that has a stamp on them. So, you can't even go out on your own and by your footballs.

Do any of ya'll have a list of stats that are closely associated with winning football games?
For example: Urban Meyer says that if a team blocks a punt they have a 90% chance of winning the game.

I just wanted to give a plug for Coaches Outreach. My wife and I attended the conference this weekend in Alabama. If you can next year go to one of these. It was great for our family. It was reaffirming to know that coaches make a difference.

We did a catfish fry a few weeks ago. It went pretty well. Try and get as much stuff donated as possible. Presale the heck out of the tickets. If not, then you will not have a clue how much to order.

I didn't know he used shifting. I do know that he does not motion much because he likes the fast tempo.

I got this idea from Gene Chizik at Iowa State. He has his coaches make a Practice Drillls Plan Template with all the drills that they will use all year. When it gets time to plan out practice all the coach has to do is just pick and choose which drills to use. I am fairly new to coaching the D-Line (my first year was last year). Do any of you have suggestions on my form? Drills, catagories, etc... I also put on here my version of a scouting form that I stole from trojananalysis.com. www.savefile.com/projects/808629810www.savefile.com/projects/808629810

I have to say that our Nike stuff has been good quality. I have also used Addias in the past, and it has held up as well.

If you condition pretty hard the first few days I bet that would take care of itself.

In our offseason program we have the kids on a whistle in the weightroom. They will do updowns or pushups for any mess ups.

Has anyone worked any major college football camps for high school kids? What was it like? What were your responsibilites? I am working one next week, and I was just told what to bring and when to show up.
Thanks.

Does BlisScout do cutups, or do you even watch the video on the computer?

I agree with Brophy on his statement. Games are won in the offseason. Those first couple of years at a losing program are tough until you get your system in and the bad apples out.

I agree with the rest of the posts. You have got to have a good offseason program, if you don't you are just putting yourself further and further behind.

Any of you feel you get too confident going into a game. For instance this week we play a team with one very good player. If we stop him we will win. IF not, we will lose like the other 10 teams that played them last year did.

How about rotating skill players? Most of our linemen play one way, and do not need as much rest. We are trying to establish a system for the skill folks.
