Thats a great article, too bad too many parents still think he is talking about everyone else's kid, not theirs.

I would run a playaction pass, with my TE running a corner to take their safety away, hit the split end on a slant or down and in to take the CB away and put the FB into the flats after throwing a good whiff block on the OLB, dump it off and take it to the house. Hit the TE if they saftey doesn't follow him.

Interesting question I have, how many high school coaches out there were able to completely pick their staff and how many had to hire already employed teachers over outside preferred guys because of rules stating faculty gets hired first.

Walking the thin line of blasphemy considering coaching topics or football scoop, lets make sure we keep it coaching and not fan perspectives.

Who leaves the bullets uncovered on punt return? That is just nuts. They were leaving them uncovered because when they showed a pressure look KU would go with a tight punt formation. When they didn't go with a tight formation then one guy on the line bailed back to try and pick him up. Obviously it didn't work becasue the punt fake worked. out beamering beamer.

Wow I really didn't expect this game to go the way it has. I thought that VT would shut down Kansas on offense. I think its far from over though. Go jayhawks though!

I was coaching in alaska last year when a dog got loose on the field. Our DE was deathly afraid of dogs so he went running like his butt was on fire and the dog chased. Good old time.

Black are for academic, hence the reason you see so many more white ones.

I got the game on DVD, but I'm buying it from the company so I get the great version. But for now, if anyone wants it, let me know and I'll have them ready after next weeks national championship game.

Hawaii does seem like an arrogant team. I think when you go to the Island they have an attitude there

We can rip on the hawaii program for the kids they take a chance on, but its not always a bad thing. If you leave these kids out on the streets to screw up more, you aren't helping them either. Maybe its a good thing that June Jones takes these kids in and help turn their lives around. Maybe he can change some of these kids before they end up in jail for a lot longer than the 7 days brennan spent or 15 months that bess spent.

Here in alaska trading film was tough because teams were 12 hours away sometimes. So by the time you contacted them to trade they'd have to express mail it which cots a lot and you are lucky if you get it by wednesday. Usually if you couldn't trade film you got scouting reports over the phone from opposing coaches around them.

You don't win ball games when the other team runs twice as many plays as you do. Plays were Florida 80 OSU 37. Can't score when you don't have the ball. I'm not sure it was what they did on defense that killed them. Their defense never had a rest because their offense got off the field so quickly. You gotta control the clock to win the big games.

I don't think Deion is his dad, but deion did adapt Noel Devine, one of the top running back recruits in the nation. maybe they are somehow trying to play off of that.

My JV team practiced the trick plays as much as we practiced our base plays. The Varsity coach gave me some crap about it, but on 4th and goal from the 15, the double reverse pass back to the QB went for a TD. Ala Nebraska vs Oklahoma TD to eric crouch in 2001.

We drew up a HB toss pass last year in the playoffs, worked except the WR dropped it, perfect pass. Gotta love having baseball players playing TB. Still won the game by 2 TDs.

he can't be offered a scholarship. The coaches aren't even allowed to make contact with the player unless the player comes to them. But they can accept verbal commitments. Basically it means nothing. They don't have to offer him a scholarship if they don't want to when he is actually able to sign. You can't sign until late in your junior year so this really all means nothing. The kid has got to have a huge ego over this. How would you like to be the varsity coach that doesn't bring a freshman up to play even though hes already commited to USC. its a joke really.

heres what I think about the super bowl in general. It seems like every year, after it was over everyone says that game sucked, it was boring and so on. Everyone is expecting the last 25 minutes of Boise State vs Oklahoma because its the super bowl. Its another game, teams do what they do. They don't put in new rules for the super bowl to make it exciting or anything. The teams are both going to do what got them there. I think we set our expectations at an unreachable level because of what the game is hyped up to be.

I agree that the bears defense played well enough to win. They only gave up 22 points and some of those were aided by turnovers. the Colts field position was great all night.

Urlacher missed quite a few tackles. He was good side to side, but the ran up the middle for about 130 atleast.
