OK...I don't get it.
What is the point of the Nike "Briscoe Hawks" commercial? Why are all the NFL guys playing on a high school team? Who is "Ryan"?

er....I think it has to do with the fact that all those NFL players started out somewhere. That "Ryan" is Joe Everyday who can shine / triumph with the best of them (pros).
These Nike commercials get hokier and hokier, though.

I think Don Shula's acting is about the funniest thing in those comercials. Give him an Emmy! I find them mildly entertaining.

How about the under armur ads with the little kids acting like a bunch of fools. That one ticks me off cause now all these kids will be out there showin off on the field. Not good for the game in my opinion

Absolutely love the commercials...just like Friday nights, all teenagers see themselves as the Vick's and Urlacher's of the world...great stuff
Can't get the "spirit in the sky" song out of my head either...

I like the Nike commercials. I like Jimmy Johnson in the classroom the most.

Matt Leinart holding the clip board is the best part.

what is the deal with Deon Sanders? Is "ryan" supposed to be his son?

I don't think Deion is his dad, but deion did adapt Noel Devine, one of the top running back recruits in the nation. maybe they are somehow trying to play off of that.

I feel bad for Don Shula..he must suck as a HS coach. If I had Urlacher, Polamalu, Tomlinson, Leinart and Vick, I am pretty sure we would win by more than a last second touchdown.

Hilarious post, but I kind of thought the same thing! All that talent and they have to win on a last second-toss pass! I was also under the impression that Deion was Ryan's father, but who knows.

Yeah, Deion is Ryan's father. In the first commercial (the practice one) he gets up and is late for school. Deion and the good looking blond (who's that?) is in the kitchen eating breakfast. Urban Meyer is in the first one, but I don't see him in the second, does anyone else?

Apparently, the "Ryan" kid (actually Ryon) is a WR at Florida State, I think...not sure how he can be in the commercial and stay eligible? Deon's wife in the commercial is Jill Arrington. www.nike.com/nikegridiron/?l=briscoe#briscoeYou can read the bios of the players and cast after the commercial plays.
