We have a bad azz system I Believe it cost 1500 dollars maybe 800? Idk for sure I'll ask the header . Any way it has a 12 inch sub and 3 mid range woofers, in a 6 foot tall tower with a base that is 3 by 2 by 2, and on wheels
Has a battery charger system and u can blue tooth or aux cord, it actually is louder and sounds better in blue tooth.
It is so loud we drowned out each place we took it too for pregame over the stadium system , but we r nice and turn it off when they start to play their music lol It is our team colors and we added helmet stickers to it U also can get some side tweeters and highs to make it even louder

U can be both I was a dc for my first 10 years coaching Last 5 I've been on the offensive side as oc or a position coach
I know being a dc first has helped me set up plays and knowing what I hated to defend
Which is any double tight

Very true
At one school I was at the freshman would help paint the numbers, we wound up with a 55 yard line, Green paint and 0 stenciled fix, it was pretty funny

Mniike That is a ton of running! Lol
To some other posters , One question I have is, the 400 is anaerobic , so how is the 300 shuttle aerobic?
And if u r just doing it to see who lifted and ran, what in the world are u guys doing in offseason and summer pride? ( ok that was 2 questions)
Like someone said, u know who came check the roll sheet.

For some reason I couldn't get the sound to play. But is this basically what was on football scoop last fall? I think a Dallas station followed him around for a week.
He actually works less hours then he used to. And does it talk about how he and his staff have the names and phone numbers of every college Program in the nation, and I believe his teams Average 35-40 college signings a year. Now this is at all levels, d3, NAIA, d1 etc We all know if a kid wants to play bad enough a school will Take him. He might have to pay to play, NAIA , d3, Even d2. By there is a spot for him.
Bob is a great guy and even helped me, when all we had was a mutual friend . When I was trying to make more Texas contacts and introduced me to tons of coaches. And I really appreciate him for that .
On delegating , u can delegate booster club , fundraising and things like that. But come on people Want to see the face of the program. The head coach, They don't want to see the wr or rb or db coach. They want the cheese. And if he doesn't make enough appearances then they question his desire .

Coach Huey That was pretty much our schedule at my last school which was a small 2a, just so happens my head coach worked for Bob in Texas , and has 10 years college experience and is a grinder. But we were done by 3 on Saturdays. Sundays were 11-2, kids came in 2-4 lifted , ran and ate lunch. This is when we have them their scoutin reports and DVDs ( didn't have hudl, ) Now our regular days started at 7:00, and that was for the guys not in weight lifting class, and the rest of the team We watched film. On Fridays we started at 6:45, lifted, and the kids turned in their scouting reports and DVDs to get their jerseys and travel shirts. Then they went to read to kindergarten and first grade.
I agree with tog also, grinding to say u grind is dumb. Get in there and get it figured out and go home.
Where I'm at now, I work the least amount of hours ever. Saturdas are 7:30-9 our film, 9-10:30 is kids lifting and watching film , go home. Sunday 1- whenever its done. We don't meet very long on weekdays after practice either . But I watch way more film at home on Saturdays And Sunday mornings too on my own. I have been basically in charge of defensive personnel sxoiting report and helping develop the passing attack for the week. This year it will be more run game , Since we have a new header.

Defense way harder, longer prep etc like has been mentioned Offense I think is easier, practice same plays. If u have sound rules u should be ok
But
I also believe to be successful on offense everyone has too be on same page, one lineman screws up ,play is usually fubard unless its the tackle away from toss
On defense everybody could screw up but if u got one guy whose a stud he can make a play and stop the offense. Maybe not every time but a lot
And like some one said u lose 1 or 2 guys on o and stuff can change fast, defense even, if u lose to many Dl u might have to go to an odd front or your odd/nickel package as your base

I don't know if this helps or not
But we make sure each senior knows the names of every sophomore coming in. And we quiz then after or before summer weights. We also at the end or beginning make each kid tell their name, or hobby, favorite movie, who is their favorite athlete, or if there was 1 or 2 people they could have dinner with who would it be.
And we will do goofy games after workouts too.

Cool, That's kinda what I figured it was.
Our school right now the ad is the hs principal. And they are opening an assistant ad spot
Well there is about 20 different things listed, and most of them to me seem like what the ad is suppose to do. Example Approve all po Approve all schedules Get workers for every sport Approve all sports budgets etc etc
Only think not listed is go to state clinic to the ad meetings in the summer. 3 grand stipend, and still a full teaching load, I figured with all the stuff listed they might get someone out of at least 1 Class period to domaine of these things

I think like people have said it depends on where u are at as a program. We have been 6-4,12-2 runner up, 6-5, and this fall We should be in the mix.
Buuuutttt next year, oh my, we are going to lose 24 seniors and 18 starters. We already had a super rough time Scheduling games after our finals run, and we practically have to beg people to play us in junior hi. So it's tough rt now, so far nobody has committed for the 16-17 season. We have gotten 3 maybes and they all want to play the same Week. We are trying to get some winnable games, Because next years seniors have never won More then 2 games at any level till this past season when we finished 6-5 and the jv was 3-1, but the jv Was mosty non starting juniors.
Ok that was long winded, Sorry

Ok, I didn't read all of the replies, but why would u have spring ball if school baseball was still going on? Or any spring school sport , track.
In my state u can't have spring football till all spring sports are finished, and u must be done by June 1st.
If these kids are enrolled in athletics and there is no other spring sport going on, then guess what. Football is the next sport , so time to get after it.
Now If these kids have never played and never spoke with u about playing then I don't think u can force them. But if they have , stick to your guns.

Coach When we used do to it We just had carbon sheets or singles that listed squat bench dead and Sometimes clean
Kids get a pledge sheet, usually a penny a pound or a flat 5 or 10 dollar donation

Really, through glazier, that's cool I'll need to check it out
We are going to sell ads on the sideline , I think 5 on each side of the players box, for like 1000 a year for 10 years . A lot of schools in our area do that, and when I say area I mean the ones across the state line in arkansas, seems like every other school has turf or an I door over there .

Giller That's what we wear, black ua Pants Grey or red polo Gets cool we had a red cafe jacket this year And a grey half Zip long sleeve Black ua jackets
When it gets cold header says wear whatever to stay warm, but it better not be camo or something distracting
We also have a heavier storm ua jacket And a local bank have us port authority heavy coats Which are awesome , but the 2 times we have worn them we have been beat, so never again on game nite! Lol

Somebody mentioned fan experience and half time stuff to get more kids to play ? What ever kids aren't going to play cause something cool happens at the half while thy are in the lockeroom Maybe more butts in the seats but more playing , no.
More kids Will Play if they have a sense of belonging, a family atmosphere, direction, things like that. An winning
And winning puts butts in the seats , but a the same Time Adm will say nope coach "we don't care if that's a good win for the team, u need to schedule so and so that went 3 deep in the playoffs in a bigger class , cause we need a good gate"

Ok I didn't read all the post so if I repeat something that's already been said , sorry .
Our Qb club does a big tailgate party every game And we do a military appreciation night A firefighter / police /ems night too
Not really sure what else But you could have each peewee team announced during halftime throughout the year Get with the cheer sponsor/coach see if they will do a clinic and perform at halftime with all the little ones You could even have a peewee team Scrimmage for a 10 min running clock at half
We let all our junior high kids in for free too
