Custom Solution Fundraiser - sold Mattresses You get a portion of each sold. Name brand mattresses. Takes very little from the school to do. You supply the showroom (gym, caf, etc) and marketing (email contacts thru the school). It's a win-win.

Reverse raffle, with silent auction. Sold tickets for $100 a pop, included a dinner for 2, drew the tickets out, and the last one left in the hat won $5000. Had a silent auction the same night. Made $13000.

We've done a 52-Week Raffle before that, in a good economic area has great potential. It requires some work and cooperation but can be lucrative. For example, we sold a thousand (000-999) raffle tickets at $25 each during football season. Prior to that I had created a prize list for each week of the year starting with the first Wednesday of the calendar year following the football season. So if we sold the tickets during the 2014 season, the raffle would start the first Wednesday in January of 2015. Since I live in Virginia, to determine the winning ticket each week, we used the evening drawing of the VA Pick 3 Lotto. So if the Pick 3 numbers on Wed evening were #574, then whoever purchased ticket #574 was that weeks winner. We sold $25K worth of tickets and created a prize list that was around $12K or so. Prizes ranged from 72" Flat Screen TV's, iPads, Resort stays, gift certificates, etc. The winner could choose the prize or the cash equivalent in Gift Cards. The good thing about it is that you can win more than once if your number happens to come up again.

^ We've done a year long raffle twice in 2012 and 2013. A rich coal tycoon and his sons were the studs on the team. He bought us, both years, a brand new ATV and we sold tickets year around at 10$ a chance. We made a good 40K doing this.

If you are really interested in something outside the box...I'm sure people have done these before but I think this one is pretty neat. While you are checking out the site, go ahead and get a couple of tickets too...LOL www.gosaraland.com/default.aspx

- Applebee's Pancake Breakfast: Kids sell tickets ($5 each). Applebee's takes $1 for every ticket sold (but you will probably get enough donations and walk-in business to cover that fee). You are guaranteed at least 80% profit but will make much more. But it gets better...Applebee's provides all the ingredients and the kitchen staff to cook. All you have to do provide kids to seat people at the tables, bring out food, and bus the tables. Whole thing takes 2 hours.
- Letter writing campaign: I write letters to all the local businesses asking for a $100 donation. The businesses that donate get a nice write-up in the local paper and a plaque.
- Community service - we do clean-up at community events and usually get a nice donation for that.

PIGSKIN11...HUDL Campaign is almost 100% profit. Since they collect everything online, they collect a small processing fee. I think it is 4% of each transaction so for example, a $25 contribution will net you $24. Once your Campaign is complete, you have the ability to extend it an extra two-weeks. Once you are done raising money, just hit "Request A Check" and HUDL will cut you a check within the week and mail it directly to you. Kids simply use their HUDL account to email potential donors.

Many moons ago we raffled off a truck. It was base s-10 Chevy truck that the dealership sold us at cost (if you're in the right place/situation you might get it for less). They had the truck at every home game with a sign in bed from the dealer. The raffle lasted for the whole season and the drawing was at the last home game. Each ticket cost $20 and we only sold 1500 tickets (much better odds that the Power Ball lottery which is a selling point). We asked every kid to sell at least one ticket, and the kid that sold the winning ticket (to encourage them to sell more than one) got $500. 1500 tickets x $20 = $30,000 Truck cost $7800 Winning ticket seller cost $500 Printing cost for tickets cost $150 Netted $21,550

50 Mile Bike Ride... we cleared $45,000 in a 1-day event our first year. Went down slightly 2nd year, but we stayed around $40,000 the 3 years we did it.

We did something called Friday night Out!! We put a write-up in every elementary teachers mailbox. We ran the event from 7-10 on a friday night in our gym. We basically ran a field day event for the kids so that the parents could go out to eat on a friday night. It was $10 a kid so we raised a little over a $1000 in 3 hours. This is something that you could do once a month. We had the players run the activities which also served as great community service.

Kids get pledges for riding... similar to the lift-a-thon, but they can get per mile donations or a flat rate. Once you play for the insurance policy to cover the event and fill out the "parade-application" everything else is 100% profit. Cost about $1000 including all of the awards and things we bought for the kids. We had a local Knights of Columbus or other organization donate a breakfast for the kids when they came back... I learned it from a guy out in CA where we did it when I was his assistant coach.
Great in the fac that about 99% of the money goes to the kids unlike selling ANYTHING, and they get a real sense of accomplishment when they finish the ride.

Every year I do a tire flipathon. Kids get pledges for how many times they will flip the tire in one minute. We do it in class and each kid gets sponsors. We will usually give away some type of tshirt if you raise so much money. Every year I make between 2k and 4K for the weight room and I dont have to sell anything or handle any merchandise.
