Fair play to u buddy! Was down on the Devon coast at the weekend and the weather was rough! Good luck with your season coach.. When do u get underway? I do it to show players that you have to condition your mind against the elements. If they have to deal with bad weather in minimum clothing, so will I. We kick off with a scrimmage against an affiliate team who has the best team name I've ever heard (Jurassic coast Raptors) then open vs Oxford a few weeks later. A lot but are a solid quality outfit Best of luck mate.. And yea I've heard of the raptors..

Not at the minute your not! Lol Weather is crap That is where you ate wrong sir, I've become infamous on my team for wearing it no matter what the condition. I am always in shorts and flip flops. Indeed, three weeks ago during a very rainy and cold session, I hadn't realised one of my flip flops had come off for about 30 seconds as my feet were so numb. Black bball shorts, team Polo and flip flops, though the later are usually discarded as I tend to walk around barefoot. Bristol Apache Defensive Coordinator Facebook\Twitter\Instagram Search: @bristolapache Not at the minute your not! Lol Weather is crap

At AFCA in Louisville this year I shared a cab with another coach who was staying in the hotel on the way to the Convention Center. He was a coach in Germany and mentioned that they are always looking for good coaches in Europe. It's always something that sounded like a fun thing to do, I've definitely looked into it before. www.europlayers.com

where your an underdog, there is zero pressure.. u usually find your practices are really high tempo and smooth and your guys play loose..
ive been on many underdog teams and winning or losing is not always the big picture.. we will have our own goals on gameday.. and when we play those powerhouses,we play hard fundie sound football to the best of our abilities..& we leave with their respect.. cos i`m certain hey prob didnt respect us before..
on the flip side i have coached against underdogs been underprepaired, or overlooked em and have been bitten a few times....

Not knocking your answer here, but I do think it may be beneficial to point out how the OP's "add value" is a superior one. Hard work, that doesn't add value, is relatively useless. For example, the threads where young coaches talk about putting hours and hours into "developing their own playbooks" Definitely hard work, but in many cases, it is just spinning the wheels and not really adding value to themselves, or more importantly the program of which they are a part. of course not, but i only had 2 words.. point being.. nothing is generally handed to you.. you gotta work for everything you get.. and to better yourself work even harder.... hours are a given, missing family time, all that stuff even before you spend hours at football or on football.. so if you really wanna get to a level as good as u can posibbly get.. or your happy exactly where you are, u will always work hard.. thats at ANY level.. including us euro/semi pro coaches....

these are imho durable and stretchy.. however for some reason are deemed cheap and not really a football jersey, they look and feel more like a rugby league jersey... Who did you get these from? sports store here in the uk.. ( it was actually the former owner of the team who ran the store, we are now looking for new unis as we have a new guy running the show.. ) would cost you a fortune in shipping.. i`m certain there are tons who do this stateside, but its actually quite popular here in the uk.. lots of teams do it.. heres lincoln.. another team in our division.. and worcesters old jerseys from the uni league.. ( blue ) they moved to the white ones.. which are screen printed rawlings i believe

Not to change the subject too much, but are there any company's doing full dye football jerseys? Meaning everything is dyed into the jersey? No tackle twill, no threads, no screen print. I know in the competitive men's softball world and aau baseball has gone to these. It's more expensive, but if you have it, it's well worth it. If you wanted to do it in house, then tackle twill has to be the way to go.. Only need a machine and a competent sewer then..

Your there representing your team, wear team apparel...
Listen, learn and converse with other coaches.. Great way to make connections in the coaching world I have always found..
Take a pen and pad .. Ita still the best and quickest way to scribble/draw quickly
Lastly... Enjoy it!

IMHO it will be something to do with the xp... Either give you more options 3 point plays etc pie even do away with the xp kick... make it harder to kick Etc etc.. Think it will be down that avenue

they used to have sawblades on the side of the helmet but opted for 1 large blade on the right side of the lid back in 2011.. lids are still the same.. not sure what rachet means...guessing thats bad.. know the steelers one is just cheap ill fitting crap.. they were an expansion team last year.. but were getting missouri style battle grey unis this year.. i`m told.. whatever that turns out like.. i dont know.. Ratchet is not good. Neither of those jerseys is good per se IMO. didnt think it was tbh.. i just worry about calling offence... lol

I like points off turnovers..
Turnovers R what usually wins games anyways, but I like to see how we did on offence immediately after a turnover..
Points from turnovers is a huge stat IMHO

Here In the uk the way the schedule falls some team can and have played 2-3 games before another team even starts..
Can be seen as an advantage both ways... ( fresh legs v rust knocked off battle ready )
It's how you prepare if your a late start team.. Get a friendly game in some where etc

Can only imagine the feeling of earning money as a coach rather than spending money as a coach!
That's Euro ball for you! Lol

Coach, I think what the op was trying to get at is In Europe, American football is a hobby... We coaches recieve no money... We work full time jobs then coach in the evenings and weekends usually.. It's almost like a 2nd full time job without getting paid..
Just last night I worked till 5 went home saw family for dinner then had a 3 hour film session so didn't get in till well after 10...
So it's classed as a hobby here, doesn't mean we don't take it seriously...

Challenge yourself...
Being in certain situations you wouldny normally and not having what you normally take for granted, shows a side to you coachin you either didn't realise you had or could use

I like to know enough about defence to beat it's and that's pretty much it
U do get more hastle on Offence though from players who think they should start/get more touches / complain about what were runnin lol
