What 300? I may have missed some of the story, It was edited before I read it
I do think the HC was wrong not to include the assistants before his Son, but at my company (im not a HS coach) they encourage the emploees to take a spouse or such on a trips that will not interfere with their buisness or cost extra (I may just be blessed to work there however)

How old is the son? Could the HC have been just trying to spend some time with him? It sounds like he rode in the car with hid dad and slept in the same room... That really does not sound like a miss use of funds. Did the school pay his way in?
I'm not saying what he did was fair to the assistants but a 340 mile ride gives a father time to talk with a son...maybe there are other cicumstances (family) or a reason that the coach did not invite the asstants to share the room or the ride?
Just trying to look at it from another direction.

Last year we had a singlewing series we used in a few games, one game nothing was working, especialy a reverse/counter we had run twice for a loss of yards (later film showed the ballcarrier trying to go outside the kickout, hole was there) This same ball carrier turned to me and said we should fake the reverse and have the TB keep it, I thought that a good Idea so told them to run it and it went for a 70 yard TD that was a spark that our O needed to get going. BTW the kid was 13 Another game a kid (12) was messing with the white board before the last game and showed me all the recievers to one side unballenced and wide, with two plays a screen and a qb keep back side, I let them run the qb keep in our last game and it went for like 50 yards.

Aztec - It's fine, the last two years i have gone to the work boat show there and it seemed cleaner, and safer than it ever was before. New Orleans is open for buisness and hopefully more people start to visit to bring money into the economy there.

If the taunting rule gets passed it will cause problems. A game will be decided and a score taken away or not taken away, due to a judgment call. (Did he dive because he thought he was going to get tackled or did he dive in to show off?, Did he slow down and jog in because no one was near him or was he taunting?)

Just went on Wikipedia and looked at the history of Elkhart. Name the trophy after Chief Elk Heart. The town was named after him! I Second this, nameing something for history is always better...it might help get more of the community involved. Is their a local historical society? Chief Elkhart Trophy Chief Elkharts War Ax /or tomohawk Chief Elkharts Drum Also like the river one mentioned before or just get a mounted Elks head and play for that, put the scores every year on a new plate below it.

My guess is that the hs player who was cursing and yelling will be off the team and for good reason. Absolutly, this kid should be suspended from football at the very least

I think whoever comes out of the big 12 championship game OU, Mizzu, or KU will end up playing OSU for the national championship.

I like gameday, but wonder if I like it because it is the only program on that previews the games and has stories on college football with any depth? At least in the NFL you have Espns show, fox and CBS.

I think Schmitt will be highly reguarded and coveted by most of the NFL teams. As for Slaton...I think he is gone to the draft, he will realize his "stock"(espn talk) in the draft will be on its way down because he will be loosing carries and playing time to Devine.

Coach bruce forums.delphiforums.com/TedSeayCoach Ted is on this site also There are plenty of Youth teams that are succesfull passing.... No mater what offense you run, it all comes down to coaching... If you can coach the passing game properly you can be successful. If not you may be blown out more than you would as a running team. but remember youth Defenses are geared to stop the run(6-2,5-3). BTW: Dave that tall kid has a heck of a break awy stride
