I remember in week 2 pre-game our HC told the holder and kicker that if there was a problem with the FG / XP exchange that the holder should try to run and if he could not get away he should flip it to the kicker who could then throw or run.
I was like damn have we not practiced the fire drill and as if they are going to do all that.
Sure enough...same game....2nd q. Bad snap. Holder takes off. Getting tackled flips to kicker, he leans back and tosses TD pass to TE in endzone. BLEW MY MIND!!!

Looks great. Confirms alot I am working on and gave me some things to think about.
How about Draws and Trick Plays?
How about Cadence?
How many formations and motions will you use?
How about your no-huddle methods and audibles (if any).
Just some other thoughts off the top of my head...

I have to say it went pretty much how I thought it would. Except for the opening. But I knew eventually Grossman would blow it and I was just thinking, wow, he has not done anything to lose it yet...and then he throws the pick for the TD.
The Bears were better than I thought they would be. But it was only a matter of time.
Way to go Dungy! Way to go Manning! Way to go Tom Moore!

Who is Norm Abrams? I just mentioned the boards as they are expensive to buy in comparision to quickly making your own...its crazy how much money they try to make off football programs. The bean filled weighted balls worked pretty good. It was cheap too. Just go to the grocery store and get a bag of Red Kidney beans. Open a small hole, fill it up, tape it up (Good Ol Duck Tape) and there you go?

Linemen Boards - Instead of buying them we got the size and bought the wood and then painted them our team colors.

How much do you share with the school?
We workout after school and feel more like we have to ask if we can book time to use it. Not that it's a problem. But the football team does not have ownership over the weight room that's for sure.
We have mirrors on one wall all the way across and that is awesome.
The PE Department has their workouts up, and stretching tips etc...
We have our workout program up in 4 spots so the kids refer to it.
I have put up our photos with motivational sayings under it. Need to do more...
Have also put up standards in different areas...

It was similar to the one they ran in their bowl game when Urban Meyer was the HC.
Gun with Twins or Trips left and the back offset left. #2 Caught a quick hitch to look like a screen and the back was swinging behind him for the pitch. Navy was well disciplined (shocking!) and snuffed it out.

I would love to see someone say to Mumme that "sure, but my dog cannot catch passes for me." Whats the point of that analogy??? They are young men, not dogs.
I think stretching is a good thing. We do patterns vs air, dynamic stretch, then stretching. Then a circuit for various techniques.
We cut out stretching one year and asked them to do it on their own and pulls went up.
And yes dogs can sprain / pull. Our dog sprained his knee once!

Been doing that for years. We add 1on1 pass rush into our skelly. Forces the QB to throw under more realistic situations. He can work his pocket movement (if needed) into his reads and throw timing. Good idea to take it to the next step and have a half line rush. We will also let the LBer blitz so the backs have to work their pickup. For once give the advantage to the defense in 7's. See how the O responds.

Why not? I think most people would agree to that. The British Coach may become a Gopher though. HA! So for that reason you should consider coaching in Canada!!! Stay within the commonwealth.

Coaches,
I need some help with this.
How do you get your kids to balance school and sports?
I am sick of guys saying they can't practice as they have big test or project due the next day.
Or tired of guys quitting as they don't think they can balance it.
Just wondering what policy you give players and parents and what tips you give players to help them succeed at school and sports.
Thanks!

Yeah H is definetly the one I have not seen much of. I have only seen something "like" it with a team that ran Single Wing and then late in the year they went to a 4 wide 2 qb shotgun like that....
Great idea of doing this by the way.
I can ID all of them using our verbage which is pretty similar to what others have here...
