Just poly that bitch and leave it natural, no need for paint. Nice work.

That's what I've worn for the past 5 or 6 years. Usually get a new pair of New Balance every couple years. The last pair have been ok, but the first couple were great. Plus they make good yard work shoes when you retire them from the practice field.

Start really enforcing a bedtime ritual. Phone/TV off, lights on dim, warm shower, brush your teeth, cool room w/ warm blankets, read an actual book until you fall asleep. Sex always helps. Also, Headspace and other meditation apps have great sleep recordings to help you fall asleep. Either ambient noise or basically bedtime stories for adults. Try guided meditation or mindful breathing before sleep, they both do a lot for downshifting your nervous system and putting you in the right place to sleep. Basically, you're too aroused. Chill yourself out. 2 things I've really tried to stay with are the bedtime ritual/process, and I've blacked everything out at sleep time. No light sources at all. I try to limit screen time, use the night filters on my computer, etc but I'm not as good with that stuff.

Shawn Stevenson's podcast, The Model Health Show, has a 3 part series on improving your sleep that you might get some good ideas from. They're in like the first 10 episodes so you have to go back and look, but it was one of the main things that made me re-think getting enough good sleep. Some of it you'll be able to use, some you won't, but it's worth checking out.

You orignally applied and interviewed to be solely a position coach with no play calling duties, right? Now you get to do it.

I'd like to try it, but judging by what our kids play in the weight room I just keep getting farther and farther away from understanding their music. There is nothing energetic or hype about a lot of the rap/hip-hop they play. I couldn't imagine trying to practice to it and there's no way I could lift to it, but they do. When they're not dancing.

Anyone ever use the wax on the footballs? I Use the brush. But looking to bring a couple If balls back from a wet game. Doing the same, I would recommend the brush and using some leather conditioner, or maybe saddle soap, instead of the wax bar. At least before the wax bar.

If you're not dead set on getting under a bar and pushing plates get a TRX and hang it somewhere. You can get a lot of good work in a short amount of time. Add in a 24 kg kettlebell and now you're cooking with gas.

Back in the VHS days we had an opponent that would hit start on the camera and never stop it until halftime, when they would change tapes, and after the game. We would have 2 full video tapes of content for each game. We had to either spend time trying to cut it up into smaller film or fight the cowboy clicker trying to get to the next play. We had everything they did though.

If you have Academy Sports in your area they have good knock off tech shirts from their house brand BCG. You can also find good name brand stuff on their clearance racks at times.

We used to have Speed Queen industrial triple loader washer and dryer. Quote that for your high end, those things are awesome.
If you're washing a lot of things with integrated pads you need a front loader, they'll just sit and float on a top load washer.

I've used this: white erase roll to make some dry erase boards. It's not quite as good as the expensive dry erase boards, but it's pretty close, and a lot better than the white wallboard from Lowe's. Also, projector > tv. Watching film on 110" screen is life changing.

We used laundry loops and washed anything cloth they wanted washed every day, they had to have it washed at least once a week. Anything with a pad in it (girdle, VB knee pads) got washed once a week as we had to use the front load washer for those and it took a few loads to wash them all.

I think they're probably like a lot of businessmen and couldn't handle the bs and red tape and inefficiency to get anything done. They're used to diagnosing problems and fixing them, not talking about it and blaming the coaches at the rival school.

You don't and can't but Schools in Ohio are free to form their own leagues or conferences or not join a league or conference they aren't forced to played in state determined districts or regions. It allows teams to control their own schedule and league affiliation. All 10 games on a schedule shouls matter not just 5 or 6 district region or league games. That's an interesting concept. Wouldn't work here because then the T$$AA couldn't flex their muscle every 4 years realigning regions.

Similar story...but I know how my story ends: Coached at a school for 15 years. Sacrificed my summer vacations and time with my kids as they were growing up. I single-handedly built a practice field at the school. Did not pursue better paying jobs in order to see this program through...Program went from nothing to playing for a state championship. Today...20 years later, no one in the town I was at knows or cares about any of my sacrifices (no statue or museum in my honor it anything)...and I always find myself asking, "What in the hell was I thinking?" You should've spent your time and effort building a culture instead of a practice field.

Are there any Title IX issues for equal men's/women's sports at the high school level if a school shuts down it's football program? Or is that just for college because scholarships are involved?
