I was being sarcastic, although that is what my barber said. He also packs a pistol while cutting hair. So I don't argue.

Oregon moved all sports back until after late Dec. (3 shortened seasons) with fall sports in the spring.
Looks like 7 reg season games with a "Bowl Game" at the end. I'm happy we didn't get axed completely but someone, probably more than one team is going to get screwed. Would hate to be the admin team that has to sort out five or six 7-0 teams for #1 and #2......
Or even worse, how bout the 6-1 team that makes it over the 7-0 team because their schedule was tougher. Especially with all the variables, you could have what looks to be a solid sched. to start with that could get you to the ship, then two teams on your sched. get a bunch of injuries or the rona and just like that your playing for 3rd or 4th.
Thankful for an opportunity non the less.

Biggest difference is, less games to work with and they are more than likely going to make us play teams on a regional basis. We had a couple power house teams scheduled from the northern part of the state for non league and now I could see us having to schedule a team in a lower classification for non league because of location.

My biggest question for my state (Oregon) is what are they going to do if Winter sports practice can't start on time (12/28.) Will they push Winter sports back and ax Fall sports? Will they overlap sports? The seasons are already boxed in through late June, weeks after school is usually out, so I'm not sure how much more room we have.

Its about up here in GA. Atlanta is about to shut it down..counties around us are going to shut it down. Our opponent week 1 wont practice in pads until game week. We are suppose to go to some pretty big deal private schools, on so many levels that ain’t happening. And then we dont really have enough kids to play at the moment.12 kids have decided against playing.10 of them seniors. Game is all but up.

In NY if they postpone fall sports they may try to do all 3 seasons after Jan 1st. If so each season will overlap about a month. Tough to do.

Michigan announced Friday 8-14 it is moving football to next spring. When-how TBD. Why? You all seem to have already went through hell on getting herd immunity and seem to have leveled off on cases and have an extremely low number of deaths per day.

I hate that for the kids if they don’t let them play in spring. Just crazy how different it is from state to state.

I hate that for the kids if they don’t let them play in spring. Just crazy how different it is from state to state. I feel sorry for spring sports athletes-coaches. They've already lost one full season. One plan that was floated by MHSAA executive director the other day was end winter sports early (end of February), have football March-April-May, and spring sports May-June-July. www.mlive.com/highschoolsports/2020/08/mhsaa-executive-director-talks-possibility-of-fall-sports-in-march-april-may.htmlWould be really short (too short?) turnaround for 2021 football season, especially for kids who play spring sports into July.

That spring time for fall sports is only an alternative if you can't play in the fall. Which is stupid because we are talking maybe a handful of schools unless we shut the whole thing down. That spring slot you posted is also alternative season.
