Genuine questions here
Where are you from? Do you think you'll play football in the fall? How confident are you? Please keep arguments of whether or not we should somewhere else. I'll start:
From New Hampshire. I believe we will play in the fall. I'm 60% confident.
Just interested in hearing how we are all thinking.

I’m pretty confident we’ll play in Iowa but not confident it’ll be a full nine games. A delay wouldn’t surprise me

For those saying "we will play".. define "play". I have seen lots of the SEC state associations proudly proclaiming they will play. Easier to declare you are playing. I think it may be harder to pull it off under current conditions.

For those saying "we will play".. define "play". I have seen lots of the SEC state associations proudly proclaiming they will play. Easier to declare you are playing. I think it may be harder to pull it off under current conditions. Our state said we are playing full 10 game schedule with 5 week playoffs. Came out this week that championship games will start the Monday after Christmas. Today they will start allowing us to use the locker rooms again. Now will they let fans, band or cheerleaders come I don’t know. We have been practicing with helmets, and we will start in full pads Aug. 3. We have continued to move forward with football and believe we will play. |

California- postponed until Dec/January. I think we will see protracted seasons then As HC of the T&F team, I hate this all. I'm looking at going straight through from Dec to late June with no coaching breaks and likely some overlap, plus my T&F team is going to lose a ton of athletes since soccer, BBall, and wrestling are all the same season now. But I'm glad we're trying to have sports. |

Now in mid/late July, many college conferences calling it, Multiple baseball teams and other Pro sport franchises shut down things throughout the summer to get to this point. Tonight (Opening Night for MLB) and a premiere player tests positive. What will the ramifications be? Writing a letter and putting it up on an associations website and social media pages isn't playing. I do hope you get to play! |

Nevada announced today that fall sports are moved back with the first games being played March 5 and a total season of 6 weeks.

Oregon. 90% sure we don't play unless we have a delayed start. We're just hoping for the WA plan at this point. Seems like stuff is only going to get worse, too. I'm not sure if any state is gonna be able to get through playoffs in the fall, even if they start the season. Maybe I'm just assuming the worst, though. |

I wonder if CIF will lift 18 hour restrictions to allow them a better shot at double dipping |

Then end of December would be state championship games. It could be a crazy long season. 5 month season? COVID-19 aside, there’s no way that’s healthy for high schoolers. That’s as long as the NFL season and a lot of those rookies—who do nothing but football—hit a wall by week 10 or so. Are there breaks in between the regular and post season or dead periods? That’s wild. |

Well everyone gets 2 by weeks and if you win your region you get a 1st round bye. While I do believe we will play not sure if COVID will allow us to play the whole season.
It is a little crazy down here. The governor wants everything to keep moving forward. He is suing the mayor of Atlanta for trying to go back to phase 1 and making it mandatory for everyone to where mask.

Ontario, Canada we have significantly less cases than almost every US state and a population of 15 million people. I'm 95% sure we won't get a season...nothing official announced yet though. We were going to have our most talented Team ever!

Well everyone gets 2 by weeks and if you win your region you get a 1st round bye. While I do believe we will play not sure if COVID will allow us to play the whole season. Why two bye weeks? |
