Do you really expect anything less? think about this. This is aimed at a specific demographic. And for the record, I do not blame them.

Here in Utah the University of Utah sponsors a huge 7 on 7 tournament and lineman challenge every year.
At the last program I was in, the HC was almost more concerned about winning the Ute Shoot than he was winning games.
I feel like this is the kind of coach they are marketing toward, and it is probably very effective. Definitely don't blame them.
Are they throwing in free visors for staffs that buy this?

Haven't been a fan of the content on Nzone lately. Didn't renew it last year especially because if you've heard Mazonne talk once, you've heard him talk a thousand times. He's also all over the place when he speaks and if you don't know his verbage then you can easily be out of the loop

I love Mazzone and his offense. He's a good dude and the offense is awesome. We've been NZone members for the past three years. That being said, I read the email and said out loud "wtf". Still trying to figure out how RPOs will help you win your 7on7. Lol

On a similar line, has anyone used Coach Pat Fox's G-Def package? I heard him speak at a Glazier but he was rushed to catch a flight.

If I ever find myself on a staff worried about dominating summer 7-7 I give permission to any of my former linemen to shoot me in the head.

Weird...I haven't seen UCLA win any national titles or put up 100+ points in a game yet with their unstoppable O. I love what they do, but hate when guys make comments like that. EVERY offense can be stopped.

Yeah, someone calls a run in a 7on7 we are heading for the bus IMHO!! We had this one coach have his QB rollout every single time and get as close to the LOS as possible before throwing the ball. And when I say rollout, I mean drop back, sit for a few seconds, then run full speed at the LOS and then throw the ball. After a few times of that, we ran toss.

I wonder if there are any stats on the correlation between 7 on 7 championships and state/regional/conference championships. I somehow doubt it.
Also, if you want to dominate make sure to contact your local uniform rep for some sweet 7 on 7 uniforms. Those are good for at least 2 tds.

as a line coach, I always hated 7 on 7s even though I coached LBs as well, it is not realistic for them at all!

My ideal 7-on-7 tournament:
1. Get some good work in. 2. Go about .500. Don't get embarrassed. 3. Narrowly miss the playoffs. 4. Go home.

My ideal 7 on 7: Sit around on the couch at home or hang out with my family while other teams participate. Here in Utah schools have been throwing for months. Our new HC was officially introduced on Friday and has signed up our kids for a huge 7 on 7 tournament in a couple of weeks. Going to be a great time. I don't think we'll meet your #2.

as a line coach, I always hated 7 on 7s even though I coached LBs as well, it is not realistic for them at all! I agree 100%. Especially since our MIKE is just a crosser killer. He's not covering anything. It costs to come across our linebacker box. Not to mention in general we are very "handsie" with our secondary/linebackers, and someone always complains about us touching them...usually the small christian school who couldn't beat a decent freshman team. We are only doing one 7 on 7 this year and the rest will just be us vs us. Gotta love the punk QB/WR guys who grow up to be fully adult punk OCs. "He's touching me! He's touching me!" It's called a reroute. Get the eff outta here. Don't you have some Uggs and hot cocoa waiting for you somewhere?

OK guys I am going to nuke this thread! It is illegal to reroute or hit a receiver that is not trying to block a DB or LB according to NFHS rules. Casebook play 9.2.3 Sit A: ...A defender may legally contact an eligible receiver beyond the neutral zone before the pass is in flight. The contact may be a block or warding off the opponent who is attempting to block by pushing or pulling him. However, if the receiver is not attempting to block or has gone past or is moving away, it is illegal for the defender to use hands in the manner described.....forum.officiating.com/football/51281-no-longer-potential-blocker.html

BLOCKING – USE OF HANDS 9.2.3 SITUATION A: End A1 sprints from the line and then cuts sharply toward the middle of the field. A1 makes no attempt to block defensive back B1. B1 pursues A1 and pushes him from the side using his open hands. Contact is made on A1’s upper arm before the pass is thrown. A1 was moving away from B1 when the contact occurred. RULING: Illegal use of hands by B1. A defender may legally contact an eligible receiver beyond the neutral zone before the pass is in flight. The contact may be a block or warding off the opponent who is attempting to block by pushing or pulling him. However, if the receiver is not attempting to block or has gone past or is moving away, it is illegal for the defender to use hands in the manner described. In this situation, it is clear that A1 is no longer a potential blocker on B1. (2-3-5a; 7-5-7)

Under the new POE blasting the crosser could be considered unnecessary and illegal!

Show of hands...who knew Knightrider would have the d@mn rule book out? "A defender may legally contact an eligible receiver beyond the neutral zone before the pass is in flight" - exactly. No change. Wait...didn't you coach Oline?? Any coach who has ever coached oline at any level being a stickler on the rules is beyond ironic. Ever hear of "holding" or is that a mythical foul kind of like offensive pass interference? Ever hear of "ineligible man downfield"? Yet somehow a 6'5" 300 lb OT is blocking my SS who is in coverage...WHO IS IN COVERAGE 10 yards downfield, when the ball gets thrown to a post route at 15 yards on a RPO play...never gets called...EVER. Sassafrassin mother frassassassin I LOL'd hard
