I have posted on this before, but I wouldn't be surprised if twitter/facebook groups put a dent in forums in general...
Coach Huey will always hold a special place in my heart, my knowledge of the game was greatly accelerated asking questions and reading the old chat messages these past 6 years.
imo forum culture is more conducive for talking football because of the anonymity. We tend to be more honest/go more in depth because we are able to hide behind a screen name.
Twitter has too much of the "personal branding" aspect to it. And its public nature prevents the above mentioned depth. Then you have the Analytics/Film guys who have never coached (or played) giving their opinions and warring with eachother.
Facebook is more of a primitive landscape. Don't get me wrong there's great coaches on there, but all too often you are met with generic coaching idioms or guys more concerned with posturing and they completely miss the point of the post.
Thus I still check coach huey almost daily.

The Twitter coaching all stars are my favorite. They post a clip of 84 x drag z poco and say stuff like “this concept will facemelt any coverage” and their Qb scrambles for 7 seconds, throws across his body, and the receiver makes a 1 handed catch. Then there’s a #AirRaid at the end of it. But what do I know. Lol

Case in point: Bunch of gurus chiming in on the Bears Wr that dropped the pass yesterday....LIKE WTH?!?! Maybe he just dropped it?!?! Sometimes weird sh!t just happens but low and behold everyone responds and gives drills they do “to work on this”. It’s nauseating.

Wims shouldn't have still been on the roster after the 1st Saints game, but I digress

I still prefer Huey over twitter and I consider myself a young guy at 34. Been coaching about 12 years or so now.
That said, I come less because murdr and/or his several alter egos stopped posting about how even if you're bankrupt and living out of your trunk, you must spend $100 or more on a pen because if you interview with a chit pen nobody will take you seriously.

dcohio also doesn't post anymore either. I'm sure some members left after he stopped posting.

That guy knows his stuff inside and out; he's a great source of information. His situation also proved to be a good lesson for coaches on here about the lack of anonymity on the Internet. A disgruntled parent within his program figured out his Huey handle and tried to use it to get him fired.

Does he still coach there? I never heard what happened as a result of that.

No, he doesn't coach there anymore. If memory serves me correctly, he wasn't fired over that incident but eventually left as it was a bad situation. The program was struggling when he took over and he managed to get the ship righted. But the angry parent caused him a lot of issues; dragged up social media and Huey posts and was doing everything he could to run him off. The guy was trying to get him canned from his teaching and coaching job; just not worth it.

Correct. That situation didn't get him fired, but he definitely got the heck out shortly after that whole mess.

That dude (Mr. Murder) definitely knew some chit, but it was over the top. And sometimes, his posts were pushing incoherent. His writing style definitely did not help
