7-2 won 9 straight district championships
meet 8-11 sat mornings. just offense. DC doesn't come in. we talk about what we expect vs. our formations. look how the DEs play down block(number one concern, since big off tackle team) i will watch another 2 hours of film during the weekend. call head coach on sunday and talk things over(I"m the OC)
I do a lot of film work on the crapper. I like how i can zoom in on my iphone watching hudl.

if we get a block in the back on a return, the player has to do 15 up downs, plus every yard they cost us on the return.

at our school, if you quit a sport. you cannot participate in another one until the season is over for the sport you quit. one of the few things our county does right.

whats so bad about bull in the ring if you don't hit in the back? we run it where the guy in the middle calls out who he wants to hit

have them do routes with QB or backupQB. that way you can have your backup work on handoffs too

John Knight,
are you being serious? How much do you pay your ACs? Have you had a lot of success with this?

coach,
jv sucks in spring ball because they have know game to reward them. you will get the majority of your players in the fall when the freshman come out. I would go back to indy during that period. or do some type of game with them that involves scoring. escape from baghdad, oklahoma, pursuit drill.

i guess so, because I've coached in both Indiana and Florida and in either place GD is much worse.

bdud,
are you actually saying that you can't get in trouble for saying GD, but you would for sh**?
i don't care if you're at a christain/private school or not that is ridiculous.

It amazes me that some of you think that sh** is worse then GD. To me a parent or administrator would be much more offended by the GD word.

If a kid misses weights and he is not in another sport, then he has to run a mile for everyday he missed. if he is in another sport, he is excused. if he misses spring football he cannot play in the fall.

if u get ejected from a game in my county, you are automatically on a 2 game suspension. if u get ejected for cursing at a ref, it is a 6 game suspension.

we used to do bull in the ring during warm-ups. only about a 5-7 yd circle.
until we had a player reinjure his shoulder during this and was out for the game.

We would rotate between offensive and defensive coaches going to the meetings.

He talked about recruiting character kids at NCOy in kentucky. then brought up Percy Harvin, who was told he cannot participate in any athletics in the state of Virginia in the middle of his senior year because he was such a problem

same as coach plaa no call, no show he does not play that week. He does it again he is off the team. if a kid misses practice for the B.S. reasons you gave that is the same as unexcused.

I'm planning on washing our wristbands every couple of weeks. my concern is that the kids like to keep their same wristband throughtout the season. How am i supposed to keep them separated so i know who's is who's? any ideas.

Give it to the kid who showed up. The coaches always have the final say. Just tell the kids that they voted for the other one.

Unexcused- does not play that week. 2nd unexcused he is off the team.
you have to call the head coach before the start of practice or it is unexcused.

coached against Noel DEvine. we had him contained many times and then he'd just hit the tiniest of seams and be gone.
coached Dexter McCluster who got into 5th gear quicker then anyone I've ever seen live to this day.

Just to let you know, Dexter McCluster ran for several pro teams at my high school and he consistently ran in the low 4.4s and high 4.3s
