I see guys here all the time saying that they never watch pro football. That made me wonder what sports coaches watch fairly REGULARLY. By regularly I mean fairly often, not necessarily avidly. Mark all that you watch pretty often:

I watch one college football game per weekend during the season and one NFL game during the season. Either Michigan or MSU, I'm a huge Spartan fan but I'll watch Michigan if MSU sucks (wife will tolerate one game and I want it to be a good one) and then the Lions.
Don't really watch other sports. Occasional college basketball game until March Madness and then an occasional baseball game and that's it.

I will watch college football if it's on, but I don't make time to purposefully watch it. Same with the NFL, but I don't usually actively watch either really. It's more background noise.
Baseball is by far my favorite sport to watch on television. As a wrestler I am prohibited from watching any form of punkin chunkin.

I watch the NFL, but its hard to not watch it as a coach. It does allow me to connect with my dad & son though so that is great. We are all Rams fans, so going to the SB parade a couple years back was awesome. I'd like to watch college Football more, but given a choice between rewatching film of our upcoming opponent or a great college game, I'd still probably choose the film. When it comes to Saturdays in season, I'd rather be the man in the arena then the one watching.
Love baseball, go the MLB.tv ap, watch it all summer long, then miss out on the playoffs when season starts. Addicted to college hoops from about February-March, especially when my alma-mater makes a final four run. NBA is getting harder to watch, now that maintaining defensive positioning is basically prohibited and offensive players just charge in and flop for fouls. But playoff NBA is very good.
Also a huge boxing fan, but the sport is so corrupt that it makes it hard to turn a blind eye to it.

I’ll watch college football, especially when our season is done. I might watch maybe one game per weekend during the season but more when the high school season is done. I’ll watch NASCAR every weekend until the football season starts though. And yes, racing is a sport.

Not really any football until after the season is done. And even then we tend to make up for lost family time. So really don't sit down and watch until the CFB and NFL playoffs.
But Hockey... freaking love it. Great sport. I've played and coached it but it is not my "job" like football so I honestly enjoy watching it more.

My son is on the golf team. It’s my favorite high school sport to watch. It’s so laid back. You just follow the group around the course on a golf cart or walking. You hardly ever see a coach, in three years haven’t seen any obnoxious fans, there’s a little cheating cause kids keep each other’s scores but even that is entertaining to a certain degree. It’s the absolute opposite energy than being on a head set on Friday.

I watch college football, though not as much as I used to. Pro football some once our season ends. We are meeting on Sundays during most NFL games until our season ends. Golf some-it helps me take a nap on the weekends.

Depending on who's playing, Big Ten Football on weekends, some NFL on Sundays (Lions because I live in MI).
I don't watch weekday Football unless Packers are on (was born in Green Bay and I own a share of team). I'd rather watch a good Sit-Com or two Monday-Friday.
Big Ten Basketball (same as above) after Football season is over.
Tigers Baseball Spring-Summer.

I used to watch more college than NFL, but in the last few years that has flipped. College games drag too long with the constant reviews. Watching spread football with bad QBs is also bleak. I enjoy the pacing of NFL games a lot more. It's going to be 3 hours and when you have good QBs (top 25 in the league) playing it will have great tempo.
Otherwise, very little beats having a baseball game on in the background.

I actually find myself watching things other than sports more than not. I will watch the occasional college game and sometimes try to catch a Bears game if I am in the market, but other than that it's Food network or Ted Lasso...

For me watching football for entertainment, would be like an architect tinkering with elevations on the weekends for fun.
I did go back and watch the Natl Champ on YouTub out of curiosity how the blowout transpired, only did so on the cut up version.
I hate announcers and the inane filler, not to mention the commercials.

Vastly prefer college football over NFL ball, i find the NFL game very boring as it's basically the same offense being run by every team (I know this isn't true, but how it feels).
Cant watch most college games now with our games being on saturdays.

I hate announcers and the inane filler, not to mention the commercials. The best college football game I've watched in the past couple years was Arkansas at Mississippi 2 years ago. No announcers, just crowd noise and PA announcers and the camera was the behind the QB view the whole game. It was fantastic.

Women's Beach Volleyball. LFL for me lol....but on serious note. Don't really watch much college football, and if I do, I'll watch certain schools like Harding/Miss St..teams that do things outside the norm. I'll watch the occasional big game. But I'll have to admit, I'm from TN, but didn't really watch the whole TN/Bama game except for parts. I did watch the whole last quarter. I took my daughter to the Bama vs Miss St game this year since she is a Bama fan and wanted to go to a game. Glad I did, finally got to see one of my all time favs in Leach before he passed. I don't really watch NFL, maybe 2-3 games all year (counting playoffs and super bowl), even though I play fantasy football lol. I like watching MLB in person, but not TV. The majority of the sports I watch live are our high school teams. Also watch a ton of other high school football teams on the net.

For me, I'll make time to watch the Packers. If they're not on TV locally I'll go to Buffalo Wild Wings which is 100 yards from my apartment. Otherwise I enjoy pro football very casually. That means that, if I have nothing else to do, I'll have a game on and be interested but it's mostly background noise. That's pretty much how I view other sports.
In college football I'll actually watch Penn State and Virginia Tech but won't make time for them. Otherwise I might have a game on and glance at it now and then.
I don't follow the NBA at all and don't really care about college basketball (I did attend the ACC tournament because, what the hell, it was a half an hour away).
In baseball and hockey mostly I watch as a homer. If my team is on I'll watch but won't put on a game otherwise. Mostly I watch baseball live since there are three minor league teams within a half hour from my apartment.
As for as other sports, they just don't interest me. I have nothing against them, I just don't care.

I'll watch every Lions game on Sundays - I justify this by grading or doing other "work" while watching. Probably watch the MNF, SNF, and TNF games as well (wife goes to bed early). I'll catch a little college football here and there but generally spend Saturdays either watching film or doing family things.
I get really excited when there's any form of rugby or wrestling on tv.
I avoid most other sports, though I'll watch a tigers game from time to time.

Yup once you are a coach it's tough to see the game as a fan like you used to (or at least that was the case for me)...It's tough because now when i watch a college game, I can tell by halfway through the first series who is probably going to win it because of noticing things like team speed on offense and defense, pursuit, blocking and tackling, effort, etc. Obviously that's not always the case, because some games or maybe even a lot of games don't go like that, but when it happens it's like welp that's that. Lol. I guess it's like most things in life...

In the last decade I have found myself mostly watching my Atlanta Braves and rugby. Rarely do I watch even part of a college game, and I haven't watched an NFL game in over 5 years. I have found more enjoyment watching average high school teams streaming on YouTube, than most of the college games.

In 50 years as a player and coach I've watched well over 1000 high school games either playing, coaching, or scouting. An awful lot of them have been bad. I have zero interest in watching a game in which I have no rooting interest.

I have found more enjoyment watching average high school teams streaming on YouTube, than most of the college games. About 20 years ago when my 1st born was a rug rat, we lived in a old part of town where the houses were 50-60 feet from the street. Wifey didn't like that the front yard was no so much yard, so that summer I had to build a fence in a huge double lot to keep Lil Missy from running into the street. Being raised so as if you're going to do it, you're going do it right, AND in the middle of a sweltering summer all by myself. I would go dig post holes for a couple of hours, then come inside to cool off/recover and lay in my living floor covered in sweat and turn on the TV. It so happened to be the World/European something Cup of rugby. I got really fascinated by the game and the differing strategies each team/country employed. For example, that year England was a 'power team'... more about move the pile/scrum/be physical; France was more about speed and attacking the perimeter. I still don't quite get all the nuances of the game, but that summer was a fun watch to try and figure out how the game was played on the big stage.

Rugby 7s are fun to watch.
I'll also undivided attention watch Australian rules football and sumo wrestling anytime they're on.

Trouble is around here it's on TV at about 5 AM. Sevens are a 14 minute sprint. Bad memories for this old scrummer.

I've enjoyed the NFL a lot more since I gave up rooting for a team. Much more enjoyable for me to watch the freaks and not care when somebody loses because of a 50 yard penalty/no call.
