I would make off-season programs illegal. Judging by the quality of play I've seen the past couple years, and the physique of the players, they're not accomplishing anything anyway. Someone liked this comment of mine earlier today and it just happened that between matches of my son's wrestling meet I went for a walk to the HS's weight room. Currently, the highest bench press in the entire HS is held by the FB team's kicker at 250lbs. The FB team went 5-4 this past season.

I'd like to keep the S&C but I'm a weights guy and enjoy that aspect of coaching. I would be a proponent of canning everything else (open fields, off-season practice, 7v7, etc..) but that opens those up for the private industry to take over.
We can 7v7 sessions and we'll have private companies running expensive 7v7 camps all spring and summer. Now the gap between the haves and have-nots grows even more.

The difference is there now. It’s not private v. Public. It’s the parents. I am not talking about morals or how they raise there kids, but the schools that v the schools that dont$$$$$$
