draw.io - If you're a mac user like I am, its a free alternative to visio and it works pretty well. I created a video showing how to draw basic things in the technology thread. I attached it here too. Here's just a quick example from one of the pages Like I said, I really like it - moreso than powerpoint now and because I mostly use mac's, it's better for me than visio. Plus, it has a really nice feature where I can insert pages directly into google slides (and then export them to powerpoint if wanted) which gives me a good option for PDF or a presentation feature. It has an online version, but they also offer a free download to use on the computer. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions. 7.0.1

Here is how bad Hudl is screwing us with the new pricing. Hudl uses Amazon Web services for their hosting. AWS charges someone like Hudl no more than 2.1 cents per GB of data per month. So even if you had 1 terabyte of film stored (roughly 1000 GBs), it would cost Hudl $21 per month or $252 per year. We currently have about 300 GB of film across 5 age groups middle school through varsity. That would require us to go to platinum from gold, costing us an extra $1600 a year. Hudl’s cost is only $76 a year for all 300GB of storage. If Hudl was being anywhere close to reasonable, they would charge $50 per 100GB of storage over the limit. That still gives them a 800% markup over their costs. Yes, the outrage is justified. I think this is where a lot of people are angry - including myself. The idea of raising their prices and cutting storage is, in my opinion, a huge problem. The problem with alternatives is buying a video server (VAR), No real video editing software (watchgamefilm), and others is they just simply aren't as convenient. That's what makes Hudl good to begin with - it offers convenience while also being pretty good. Yes they have issues - some of the stuff is buggy, but for the most part they are good. This change however is extremely shortsighted in my eyes. The other thing, like you said about storage costs $252 per terabyte and they're offering for $1600 just 150 hours of storage. That's simply ridiculous. 100gb on google drive is 20$ a year. I just don't understand Hudl's thought process in picking a fight with coaches over storage. It's just asinine.

Here's what we did this year...
We split the staff as follows:
Head Coach: Outside Receivers (OC) 2: OL/Tight Ends 3: Running Backs / Slot Receivers 4: Quarterbacks 5: Defensive Line (JV D) 6: Outside Linebackers (JV O) 7: Inside Linebackers (Special Teams) 8: Safeties (DC) 9: Corners (Special Teams)
We were going to have a swing guy coach both O/D, but didn't. The OLB coach is a former offensive guy and knows the system so was an easy transition for JV games.
Practice wise we were:
55 Minutes Offense / 55 Minutes Defense / 30 Special Teams Tuesday/Wednesday and a tad shorter (45/45/25) on Mondays. We separated practice by jersey colors JV was one color, Varsity another. We aren't a team that tackles live very much if at all and very rarely had live contact in team drills. A lot of the time we were using shields and mainly using the scout team for alignment. Scout team became pretty competitive though and got a lot better, which showed up on Saturdays for JV games.
Varsity lifted Monday/Wednesday in season - JV was Tuesday/Thursday Varsity Film Tuesday/Thursday - JV Monday/Wednesday
I loved it - we were constantly coaching and it was coaching the same stuff over and over again. I felt the kids got a lot a better and the amount of reps they were able to get was outstanding. In a 10 minute period defensively (We had two JV offensive huddles running plays) we had 20-25 plays ran at us consistently.

Heading up to Cleveland today.
Pittsburgh was a pretty big disappointment last weekend. Although, I really liked the TE coach from Penn State, was really good as a speaker and some decent info. Also liked Mcmanus from SC - he was pretty good. Also was pretty disappointed that Nike was the same day.

This is something different and I would love to see something like that. I think I'll watch/attend on any topic, but Special Teams would be different/awesome.

Another option is Teamviewer.
It's free for personal use and has app for ipad, works on both PCs and Mac and I haven't seen a limit for people.
Can file share and you can record the meeting,
I don't know how well it works, I use it from work every once in awhile when I need something from my computer at home.

I've watched a couple e-clinics, one of which was by Coach Vint I think a couple years ago on power which was phenomenal. I would definitely be interested in this.
1. Organize a list of who wants to present and on what topics. I think 2 a week would be cool, but you might find that there are 20 guys willing to present and that might mean there are more in one week then the last.
2. If you only have a maximum of 50 people allowed on that Zoom application, then you could do a sign up form on google drive and list 50 spots to put e-mails for the Zoom invite the night of the presentation. If you decide to get more than that by purchasing, then just post the link on here and twitter.
3. Create a blog or something to post the links to download it after it is over that way the guys that couldn't attend or get in still have access. Or you could create an archive post here on Huey.
4. You might even get people to sponsor it like they do on some of the twitter chats. I think GoRout did something with the #txhsfbchat on twitter.
Just a couple thoughts I had when thinking about it. Great idea though, look forward to it

Gibbs is good -- He's a NZone guy so I'm guessing he'll be talking about that stuff. Castillo -- haven't seen Liotta -- Arena League guy and small HS in WPIAL that has a ton of athletes. Will be stuff similar to Gibbs -- pushes his new DVD series and stuff like that.
Overall, out of the 2 I've seen, Gibbs is the better of the two by far and I've dealt with Drew a couple different times.

Split the practice. Go longer on Offense one day and longer on Defense the other day. If you can only go 3 days, split the 3rd day. Script everything -- even your indy periods. I felt we got more out of going both O and D in one day, then just one side of the ball. I disagree. We have an offensive day and a defensive day and, as a DC, I love it. I never have to worry that the HC/OC will go over and I'll either get my tine cut out or the kids will be mentally done and the segment will be a wsaste. I understand the issue with going over, but that's mainly on the HC and saying look you can go over by a minute or two, but after that we're moving on. The problem I have with spending a whole day on one side of the ball is that our players aren't going to get individual work on O or D except one day a week. When we split it - We get more time on both O and D and it makes my guys work through things instead of sitting around having story time because their period is longer. I want things to be moving the whole time and I feel we get more work done when we go 50/40/10 each day. I also have had kids more energized by switching sides of the ball instead of staying on O or D the whole day. Some like Defense more, some like Offense more, this way they both get their favorite side of the ball too. That works for us, it might not work for everyone though.
