Het I got a flyer for the Triple Shoot seminar. I contacted them via email, received the brochure and the 2K price tag. It seems the same kind of set-up as Tony Frankiln, but a DOUBLE your fee back promise if you don not like it. curious as to if anyone has been to this or plans to go. it is in Columbus, Ohio. I am very interested in it. It is very close to what we are evolving in to. But I have also heard soem not so good things about Manny, that have me leary. here is his web site. www.Triplshoot.tv

Rebelyell: If I had found out about the Fly Sweep series before I read Coverdale & Robinson's Bunch Attack book, my Wild Bunch offense would have looked exactly like the Triple Shoot -- except I block the EMLOS defender on the inside hand-off to the FB... I enjoyed seeing the old Emporia State and Wyoming clips, though...

Is Manny coaching somewhere or is he simply a "consultant"?

The offense I run has roots from the Triple Shoot.. I started out as double twins under center... with Jet sweep and the FB and QB hitting off of the Jet fake at any flank..
Love this stuff.. we have evolved to more of a passing team now.. but still run the Jet.. I think.. please dont jump me if I am wrong.. but I was under the impression that he was the first person to run Jet from a "spread" formation.. then you saw lots of it from Leach..

Is Manny coaching somewhere or is he simply a "consultant"? Doc: I'm guessing consultant...the rumors surrounding his departure from Texas State were not career-helpful.

he is working as a consultant, and owns his own publishing company. is out of coaching and does not plan on getting back in to coaching as i understand it.
Ted. didn't he say he started running the triple, and he got it from Ga. Southern? I thought that was in his introduction video.

The stuff we run is similar. We came about it on our own and then later found out that there are similar elements to it. We are just in the gun and more wing-t run concept oriented using the qb as a runner off the jets and stuff. Trying to get that ever elusive extra guy in the numbers game

I believe the "triple" that Manny is talking about is the "triple shoot" not the triple option.

I believe the "triple" that Manny is talking about is the "triple shoot" not the triple option. Coach: That's certainly how I took it -- not sure I'd be interested in combining the Fly, the Veer, AND the Run and Shoot...

ahhh not to sound too stupid here but what is the triple shoot? Combination of Run and Shoot route packages with the fly/jet/speed sweep series. "...maintaining the (Mouse) Davis philosophy of complexity through simplicity." I wonder who said that?

He kind of looks like a used car salesman in that video on his website..
Don't kill me- I'm sure his product is great, and he's a great coach- I'm jus sayin' that I felt like I needed to take a Lestoil bath after watching some of that..

I have to be careful here but it is nothing like the wing t jet sweep period end of story. do not even confuse your thinking.
the pop(sweep) and belly(fb dive) are set up totally by splits. the splits are adjusted similar to what tony demeo. infact demeo was at washburn, the same time matsakis was at emporia state.
normal splits are 3 between guard and center and 4 to5 between guard and tackle. the guards adjust their splits based on the technique. to make it simple vs a 3 tech the guard wants to widen split to create a gap of 4 to5 fts between him in the center. vs a 1 tech. they want to close their split down to 1 to 2 ft between him and the center thus giving a 4 to5 ft split between the guard and the tackle. the super back runs a veer path like a veer option team. to the 3 tech side it is tighter cause there is no guard there and many times the defense will play the inside shoulder of the guard when they widen there split to close down faster on the belly. which is when you run a tighter path and trap scheme. vs a 1 tech it is the outside hip of the guard. the belly series consists of belly(dive toward the sweep action) belly back (dive oppsite sweep action) belly trap belly speed option belly toss
if you ever notice his qbs were really lazy on there fakes. they were not the best faking teams to be honest. oh i better be careful. I know a guy who manny tired to bring a lawsuit against for sharing this info. might be next you know.

I was on this site a couple of weeks ago looking at the Tony Franklin system, problem is as good as everyone says it is, I am just concerned that if I can't recruit a quarterback in high school, or my top guy goes down, then I'm done. Then I heard about this deal & I got on his marketing site www.tripleshoot.tv and then I e-mailed him with my phone number and he got back to me the next day. Seems like a good guy and very sharp about the game of football. He even gave me some references of high school coaches that he has been working with and I called them and they gave him an outstanding recommendation. I also checked into a previous thread on here referring to Coach DeMeo, the Shotgun Triple mastermind and I called Tony Demeo at Charleston. That conversation was crazy, he went on about Matsakis and actually said that he learned more from coaching against this guy than any other guy he has ever faced, even got the ideas for his splits in the run game from him. I think DeMeo is a great option coach and I respect a guy like that so that's just another reason why I am going to check this deal out. I Will be there today with one of my assistant coaches. The thing that got me was his double your money back guarantee - not sure how it works, but I'll see - I also didn't realize that this guy was the founder of American Football Quarterly, (AFM today) - I will let you know how it goes.
