I witnessed something disturbing yesterday...2 of our Olinmen were sitting next to each other and 1 says, "hey smell this". He then sticks his finger in his belly button and holds it up. The other smells it and yells, "DUDE THAT'S AWFUL!!!". Then he yells out, "Hey ya'll COME SMELL THIS!!!". To which a huddle was created and so began smelling other peoples' belly buttons. I just stood there, acknowledged it, and told them "ok ya'll have 10 min to get to your meeting rooms" and walked away.

here's how I assume it went down big win...everybody pumped, kids getting rowdy in the locker room...some kid goes and grabs a bottle of syrup from the pancake breakfast that moms did that morning and some funny fat lineman kid goes Farley with it and decides to pour it on his belly so the other kids find this to be the height of humor and start taking pictures of themselves looking like they are licking the syrup..everybody laughing ..bout this time coach comes in to run the little bastardos out of the field house so him and the staff can go celebrate in the adult way..he finds billy bob slathered in syrup and kids start saying "coach take the picture like we did...take the picture like we did!!" it's a big win and he's happy so coach says what the heck i'll do a little something and they'll get a kick out of it any other scenario than that is hard to defend, but I bet it was something like that, not necessarily smart, but not Sandusky status either...but then the 2nd string QB (it's always the 2nd string QB) shows his picture to his 2nd string daddy Todd who sees his opportunity to get coach fired and piss off first string daddy Mark who thinks he's so great with his cooler car and still hot wife so he decides to get his wife the 2nd string mommy to make a big fuss about it and here we are LMFAO!!!!!!! You perfectly described a back up QB's dad that I had a few years ago. He was always so jealous of the starting QB's dad. Everyone was embarrassed for the guy (including the back up QB) except the dad himself. Back up QB dads are the worst!!!!!

Paso Robles (CA): JR Reynolds, who led the team as an interim head coach during the 2017 season, has had the interim tag dropped and will lead the team going forward.

Good Lord... We live in a day and age where not using "gender-neutral" pronouns can get a teacher/coach in trouble in certain states and this idiot is pouring syrup on a kid???

In my experience, coaches that get into this kind of trouble have gotten away with some bad behavior in the past. There was basketball coach in this state that got caught bringing in younger alumni that were/had been playing college ball for scrimmages over Christmas break. This is a huge violation of state rules and he ended up having to forfeit a ton of games. It didn't surprise me as the guy had been doing that for years as well as pulling other crap. I went to college with some kids that played basketball for him and he used to take the seniors out camping every summer and they told me stories of the booze flowing. They were a perennial powerhouse in the sport and won multiple state titles. Several players told me that they partied hard in the hotel rooms with the coaches and the parents after they had won a state title. So, I imagine the syrup incident was just the tip of he iceberg for the coach in this situation. He probably got away with murder in the past and just kept upping the anty.

I'm not sure which is more disgusting, the syrup incident or the coach sticking his dork into a bun at the team bbq.

In this state, the "adults" allowed to participate in practice are coaches. And, you have to go through a certification process in order to be considered a "coach". That involves taking a four hour+ long coaching course and watching various clinics (concussion, sport rules, etc..). Even our volunteer coaches have to go through the same process. It's a liability issue; some 19 year old kid lands on a high schooler during a practice, injures them, and now the school insurance won't cover said injury. The situation involved an "adult" that wasn't officially a part of the team and wasn't "qualified" to be working with the kids because they didn't jump through the hoops. Mom and Dad's insurance won't cover it because they say the injury occurred during a school sponsored event. Now the school gets sued. I have gone rounds with our coaches over this one recently because they've always brought alumni in to scrimmage and former ADs turned a blind eye to it. But, I'm not going to be named in a lawsuit if the coaches aren't following the rules and a kid breaks a leg.

A couple of years ago, a team in our state got in trouble when the coach brought in a former stud RB, who'd signed a D1 scholarship, to come in and work as the scout team RB.

I believe the coach of this team was paying him to be there, but I could be wrong on that.

In our state, only high school kids on the team practice. State finds out you bring in alumni or someone else that is not on the team your butt in a sling. The head wrestling coach brought in some guys at a school I was at to wrestle the high school guys and it was found out, he had to sit out districts.

every year old wrestlers would come back to my high school, college or not, during the holidays and would beat up on all of us. it was a tradition, like no other. lol.
at my current school, the girls basketball team(who is really really good) every holiday break, former players(mostly college girls) will come and they workout with the high school kids and scrimmage alot with them.
