When we started sending men into Space NASA discovered that ball point pens would not work in Zero Gravity. So their scientists spent 12 years and millions of dollars developing a pen that would not only write in Space but under water, at heat up to 300 degrees C and down to minus-150 degrees C. The Russians used pencils. Remember that next April 15. This is not a true statement. First, Nasa did not develop the "space pen" at all, no tax dollars were used. It was designed by a private company (Fisher Pen Company) and NASA ordered 400 pens at $2.69 a pen. The USSR ALSO ordered 100 pens and 1000 ink cartridges. SECOND, (and has been mentioned in the thread) the pencil was NOT the best option, particularly after the Apollo 1 fire. Remember that next time we go to the polls to vote for leaders since most voters just take what they hear at face value rather than making decisions based on the truth.
I stand corrected.
Blame it on a bad email source making the rounds.

Toilet Paper should always come off the top side of the roll when using properly. It should never be hanging underneath the roll only women put the roll on that way, or so I have been told. This was too funny not to weigh in on.

Black Bic Atlantis pen and pink Papermate Flexigrip pen, both write in black ink and smooth. The pink one is nice too since it sticks out if you misplace it. For pencils I'm all about mechanical pencils. Haven't used an old fashioned one in like 10 years. I can refill lead and erasers when needed and the grips much better for me.

As a lefty pens can't be too inky or it smudges all over the place and my left hand looks like I dumped it in an ink jar. Mechanical pencils for most part don't smudge for me, old fashioned pencils always make a mess. I'd be surprised if the SAT was able to read my 20min essay, the page was practically black.

Though to find, but worth it are the Bic Z4 needlepoint .5. Comfort grip, smooth writing....I had to order them from the UK this past year to get a dozen. Worth every cent.

I am surprised that Tul pens were not on that list. They are one of my favorites, and go to at the desk or classroom. But, they are too nice to bring out on the field.

Uni-ball impact 207 for my daily writing. BOLD INK OR NOTHING.
Gameday, ultra-fine sharpies are my jam. I use one to write on my practice sheet during the week and then help me ignore my call sheet on Fridays.

Pilot Easy Touch - Medium point. I stumbled upon them last year in the school supply closet. Now that's all I ever use.

For taking notes Pilot G-2 10. For drawing up plays I like the Pilot G-2 07 since it's a finer point. Will not use any other pen.

Holy hell... it's only May.
G2 all the way. Even though I should probably go something cheaper. I lose them faster than I can use them.

4 Pilot G-2 07 in red, green, blue & black. In a plastic holder as I've 'em leak before. The ink spots do not look good on khaki pants. Beware of coaches who do not return t hem. When you pull them out of your pocket and ask, "which color?"; they are a bit surprised. However, I should be using pens with erasable ink....if you know what I mean! :-)
No capped pens for me either!
