Ok coaches. I was thinking of all those topics like shoes, or hat vs visor and thought about pens. What's your favorite pen to write with for notes about practice, or bring out to practice, or game day?
Me? I like those Pilot G-2 that are .07mm. If I don't have those then a good old felt tipped pen. I always bring red out to the field.

pilot G2 is the best pen
but i only use dollar store pens
i lose them all the time, give them away, whatever
but theyre cheap... usually 3 or 4 pack for a dollar i only mess with the clickable pens, i dont use pens with caps

Man the season needs to get here. I'm a pencil guy. I write far more legibly in pencil for whatever reason. Now I'm an Evernote guy. Forget writing by hand.

Pilot G2 .7 is the only pen I use.
And an ultra fine point retractable Sharpie.
I actually get a 12 pack of both for Christmas every year.

Precise V5s in black ink. I try to avoid using anything else. I keep one in my pocket at all times.
For some reason, clickable pens fall apart in my pocket. A black G2 in .5 is my #2 choice, though.

I don't know how people use a stylus. The point of a stylus never feels right to me, I want a finer point but the stylus can't give that to me.
Maybe I'm just weird like that.
I don't even know when the last time I used a pencil was.

A few years ago had a pen break in my pocket in the middle of a bad loss, ruined my khakis and capped off an already bad night. Since then I have been 100% pencils. I bring 3 to 4 sharpened ones per game, sharpening them is part of my pregame ritual.

Remember those really fat pens that had like 18 different colors you could choose from by using the color sides?
I change my vote to that.

I actually have one of those for grading, but it's only 6 colors. Getting some of my students to do any work is enough of a struggle without getting on them about ink color, so I can just easily switch mine.

Whatever type happens to be laying around the media box or PE office before a game or practice. We have a connection with Bic. We get a few (microwave-sized) boxes of pens each year. I'll rarely use a pen twice, I'm usually closer to the box for a fresh one. I have about 30 in my truck, and now my toddler is tall enough to pull the giant cup of them off the counter. When I was the one buying, I've used basic Bic black since I could remember

Uni-Ball Vision-Fine Tip
Color- Closest to school color or black.
Water proof and fade proof. 1 pen will last a whole season.

When we started sending men into Space NASA discovered that ball point pens would not work in Zero Gravity.
So their scientists spent 12 years and millions of dollars developing a pen that would not only write in Space but under water, at heat up to 300 degrees C and down to minus-150 degrees C.
The Russians used pencils.
Remember that next April 15.
