This is my first post on this site. I'm a sophomore assistant coach in Southern Illinois. We just lost in the quarterfinals of the playoffs Saturday. We run a "Diamond T" offense and use 4-2-5 personel on defense. I guess you could say we are old school on offense, new school on defense. This was my 4th year of coaching after playing four seasons at Division Three Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL.

Hi, My name is Rob I coach at Farmington Hills Harrison High School in Michigan. I am the secondary coach at this time. We are a multiple front defense 2 shell secondary and a pro I offense. We are currently in the semi finals for the state championship for division 3 this week. We have a tough opponent in Haslett, a small city right outside Lansing Michigan the capital of Michigan. This game is to play to see who goes to Ford Field in Detroit to play for the state championship.
A little about Myself, This is my 9th year coaching high school football and my 7th on Varsity. I have been a position coach for 5 of those years, and defensive coordinator for 2 along with being the special teams coordinator for a couple of years on varsity. I took the job where I am at to learn from the most respected coaching staff in the state, I took a step down to learn and take advantage of the offer that was put in front of me at Harrison High School. Honestly, having the most fun at the same time. Love to talk x's and o's, that is why I am here, and look forward to that.
I am a multiple front 4-3 guy that mixes in some 30 front. I am a 2 shell secondary coach that loves to disguise, and in my year off as coordinator I have revamped my own defensive package. I spent most the time on my fire zone and blitz package, making less wordy and more multiple at the same time. Instead of trying to move every chess peice in a blitz like I have before, I have developed a system that teach's off concepts in my man and fire zone blitz concepts.
Hope to talk to you guys.

HS - TX 1A Off - stack/power I, pro. Played FB. Didn't know u could have more than one wide out, or that RBs pass blocked, till college. Seriously. We had a slight run tendency. Def - 4-3. Played MLB. College - Texas Tech for Spike. Off - Cheered when B Hanspard ran the ball, held our breath when Z Lethridge threw it. Def - 4-3 Played DL for Dean Slayton I am a varsity DL coach at a 3A in east Texas. I have also coached RB, but prefer defense. We run about half spread and half pro. On defense we run a 3-4 with cover 2 and 3 behind it.

I have coached and played all over the S.W. Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle area both in H.S. and college. I am currently an assistant at a 3A school in S.W. Kansas. Over the years I have done a little bit of everything OC, DC, HC, pretty much every position and nearly every offense and defense, but I have a special affinity for any type of power offense and the 4-4 defense. I would be glad to share any knowledge that I have acquired in my years in coaching and am looking forward to learning from all of you.

My name is Ty have been coaching for 5 years. Right now I am a OC at a 4a school in sw oklahoma. OFFENSIVE spread mult. I love the flex and interested in the pistol Defense 4-4 My DC wants info on 3-4 and the diffrence between that and 50-52 I have coached everything except secondary. I have been an OC for the last two years and I am 24 years old, so I have alot to learn and this site has helped me out greatly just being on here for the short time that I have. Finally found a site that talks ball and not BS.

First of all I want to say this is a GREAT site! My name is Wes and I am the DC at a 5A school in Minnesota. This up coming season will be my 10th, 5th as DC. We are changing over from the 4-3 to the 3-3-5 for next year. Offensively we run mostly spread stuff. Look forward to discussing the finer points of the game with you all thanks for having me.

hey all, I am an assistant coach at a 4A school in Southern Illinois. Our offense has been the same for several years, the straight T. Hard to believe it, but it is true. Defensively, we are a base 5-3 team, but do occasionally play a 4-3.
Just a note to say that this is the best site going for football coaches. Keep up the good work! coachjc

Another proud Texan here. I am currently putting myself and my wife through school so I am not coaching yet. TOG I hope to meet you at the Extreme clininc in Dallas in Jan. I would love to have an elder mentor other than my past HS coaches, one of which is the DC for SLC.

I don't think I am going to that one. I am going to the Lonestar in College Station, and Capital of Texas Clinic in Austin. Didn't know I was considered elder.
Oh well. Coach Nowell, I will help you any way I can.

Assistant Varsity coach in NW Ohio.
Special Teams Coordinator, RB's & LB's. Looking to one day become a Head Coach at small school.
Going into 5th year of coaching. Believe in the Wing-T ran out of Run n' Shoot formations. Also, like the 4-4.

20 years old in the air force. They sent me to Alaska for 3 years so I found a football team to coach at Eielson AFB. Head JV coach help out with varsity. We run a power running game out of split backs, wishbone and the I. 3-5-3 on Defense. I want to run midline this year. Going to Afgahnstan in Janurary so I'll lots of time and notebooks to fill up with plays for the season. Can't wait for August to get here. It will be my last season here and then I hope to try and play college football at a Division 3 school in my home state of Wisconsin

I'm an aspiring coach In L.A., I coached in for a year but had to stop due to I needed some time for college. I coached RB'S on the freshmen team and wa the reserve team O-coordinator. I put up more points with that team than the starters. I played 3 and a half years of varsiy at the same school should of played college but tore my meniscus and had a herniated disc so my recruitment took a nose dive. Now I'm in the process of becoming a head coach for a high school 8 man team thats never had football before. My pops is the P.E. chair, and I used to go there so I think I have a good shot. I'm more of an offensive coach. I'm a spread guy. I was a RB in high school but I'm fascinated by the passing game. BIG TIME!! On D I like different types, 5-2 or a 4-3 with the sam on the line covering the TE. So thats me!!
