Multiple formations. Anything you can imagine. Primarily 1 back (counter, stretch, zone, dart, pop series, ect.) but will run some two back stuff (toss, blast, option, ect.) Passing game is 3 step, 5 step stuff. 3 step passing based on lots of timing routes; ie outs, slants, bubbles, hitches. 5 step stuff is crossing routes, smash, scissors, ect. Stuff I'm sure you guys have seen before. The multiple formations is the strength of the offense. We can and will line up in anything imaginable. We like to motion to get angles on folks. PM for more specifics.

I'm the head football coach of a 5A school in North Texas - 2300 students. We base out of the I on offense, but we use 1 back and shotgun sets to make us more multiple. We are balanced offensively in philosophy. We run a 4-3 base front and will be "umbrella" over the top. Glad to have found the board.

i am a coach back in Finland and 19years old. I've coached now for two years and pretty much only scratched the surface, but still I'm eager to learn.
I began playing flag when i was 10 but when turned 15 moved to football. i have played every position except QB, but mostly i played Rb and d-line. While playing I was part of spread offense and plus other offenses which cant be categorized.
Coaching career includes
two seasons as a head coach in U15 two seasons as a head coach/ OC in U17 one season as offensive assistant in U19
I'm now running a multiple pack offense in U17
I'm a young coach and want to learn as much as I can and hopefully this hobby will turn out to be a profession someday.
PS. sorry if there is some spelling mistakes and stuff...

I am a varsity Defensive Coordinator for a Division II school in Northern California. This is my seventh year coaching, but first as a varsity coordinator. We run a base 4-4 with multiple looks. Our offense runs the Wing-T.
This board is great and I look forward to contributing and having great football discussions.

Kia Ora (Maori greetings, New Zealand),
My name is Anthony Hall. I am a former Pop Warner coach that moved to NZ with my wife and kids. Shes originally from NZ and we thought we'd give the kids a bit of her culture before bringing them home to play FOOTBALL. You know Priorities.
I have been here for about three years. Two years ago I found out they have a football league out here. Found a team in my local area of Hamilton and became the HC. And have been so for the past 2 years.
The game of football in NZ is still developing but is hindered much by its lack of support. Our first season we had one football to practice with. There is a huge lack of supplies for anything, equipment, books, videos. I was telling tog if not for the INTERNET I would go bananas.
Any ideas, thoughts would be very much appreciated.

I coach 7-8 year old Jr. Pee Wees... the older "bobbleheads" We run a single wing offense (modifed Reed), GAM defense. We have pretty average talent and are 4-2. We have played the toughest teams in the division, so we should win out. It is very challenging to coach at this level... I have 30 kids (Started out with 35) and at least 7 of them a absolute minimum play kids (8 play min in our league). I don't have nearly enough practice time... our practice fields have no lights, so I am down to about 4 hours a week. I was lucky enough to play on 3 undefeated teams in my football career... once in 4th Grade, Sophmore in HS and Senior in HS. I was an all conference OG in HS. Our team was 3rd in IL Div 4a in 1981. We ran a veer offense and 6-2 D in HS. Looks like a great board here .... I have lots to learn!

Hello everyone,
I am coaching in Scotland, this season as Offensive Co-Ordinator of a university team in the British Collegiate American Football League.
I am a young and relatively inexperienced coach, have worked hard to get my qualifications and learn as much as I can over the last few years.
Coaching football in Scotland brings so many restrictions, not least those set by my own organisation (our senior league team, uni team and youth team must run similar playbook and share same terminology). Our pre-season in 7 weeks, we must raise 70% of our funds ourselves, most of our squad are converted from rugby (around a quarter have little or no knowledge of football at all) and the weather can pose great restrictions. To give an idea of problems and standard of play, the average Qb completion percentage for the Northern division of the league last year was 28%.
I am a receivers/tight ends coach by trade.
I have not yet really decided on what strategy I want to hang my hat on for the rest of my career, but I suppose I do enjoy the passing side more than the run game. In my playbook this year I have attempted to mix two or three basic Air Raid routes into formations of 3wr/1te/1rb and 2wr/1te/2rb. I have one or two other plays in there that I am confident will take advantage of trends that we tend to get in the way teams defend the pass in the UK (in the North anyway).
I like the Air Raid concepts (met Mike Leach earlier this year) and am slowly learning more about Norm Chow's and Mike Martz's passing concepts.
Always looking to increase my knowledge and maybe one day have an opportunity to try my hand in the US.

Hello board. First thing, this is a great board. I read a few other boards but this is the first board I've joined and posted on. I'm from San Diego, but grew up around the world as my dad was in the Army. I played Football in San Diego in High School and was a Quarterback for a Wing-T team. I tore a knee up and it pretty much ended there. I moved to Arizona and was a Varsity WR coach for a Huge 5-A High School. We ran the Run&Shoot. It was a ton of fun and I learned alot. I have attended a few Coaching Clinics and have learned alot. I haven't coached for a few years, but I plan to finnish up my degree this year and hopefully get a job teaching and get on with a staff somewhere. Hopefully next year I can volunteer and get back in to the HS game again. I'm intrested in the West Coast Offense and the good ole' Air Coryell-Mike Martz San Diego St./ San Diego Chargers Offense. Oh, to have been alive in San Diego during those days. Hoping to learn alot here, and thanks for such a great board!

My name is Andy and I live in Portland, Maine. I started varsity center for 3 years in high school and was a captain my senior season(1996). I play center for the Maine Tomcats, a semi-pro team. Semi-pro is some pathetic football with only two days of practice a week. So, it's a working mans league with no time to prepare properly for a football game. Either or, it's football. I am always looking to acquire more knowledge from any coach. I now have a new home here as there are always people gathering knowledge and spreading it around. No one can ever stop trying to learn. I think Tog or Coach Huey said, "the more information we can share, the better we can all be". I could'nt have said it better, it's why we're all here.

I am located in North Dakota. I have been a coach for 10 years now as an varsity assistant. We run real basic stuff. (I formation and the 53 Defense) We work everything off of the K.I.S.S. Theory. We have tried to make that the basis for everything that we do.

My name is Chris. I coach in Mishawaka, Indiana (near Notre Dame). I have been coaching at my former high school for 10 years now and have been the D-coordinator for 3 seasons. I also coach the LB's. Our base is a 4-3 cover 2, but we also run variations of the 3-5-3 and the Bear (46). We try to play a very aggressive attacking style of defense. Offensively we are a triple option team. basically the airforce offense we a little power game and play-action/quick game thrown in. Glad to be a member of this sight. Hope to pick some of your brains in the next few months.

Jobless: I am coaching but do not have a teaching position. My degree is Physical Health Education with a minor in Biology.
Son of a Coach
I played in the Split Back Veer, 5-2 Monster in high school, and 4-3 in College.
Have always been a lineman and have mostly coached O and D line, some Line Backer. Have been coaching since 1999, All at the Varsity level... well one year I was JV HC/OC but also Varsity line Coach.
Currently: Special Teams Coordinator, Assistant Offensive coordinator, and O line coach at a D3 High School in Michigan.
Off. - The best ever split back Veer & multiple formation veer/options including some deep veer/ spread Option
Def. – 4-2-5
I have coached the 4-3 and 5-2 defensively; offensively I have coached Veer and Option out of just about every formation I have ever seen.
