So it seems like every good team has some kind of "signature" thing that they do... Whether that's a unique way of stretching, a chant, or whatever.
For example, we played a team once where, each time they kicked off, one of the guys on their kickoff team turned to their sideline and yelled something (I couldn't tell what) and not only their sideline but their whole stands echoed something back- Again, not sure what, but it was quite impressive. I know of another local team that has someone- a coach, player, a daddy, somebody- dip a bucket of water from a swamp behind their field every thursday and then pour it out on the field right before the game.
So, what does your team do?

It's not during the game, but we actually TEACH our players how to properly observe the National Anthem.
It sounds dumb, but most kids fidget, goof around, or don't pay attention during the playing of the Anthem.
We take a few minutes during our first game week practice, to teach them how to politely and respectfully honor the Stars and Stripes.

Had a few things like this. The kick off thing is the players yell Kamikazie and the side lines and stands awnser back bonzii. For home coming the entire student body has a parade threw town with the team on fire trucks. Some ppl probly have heard about us for a cannon we use to shoot off after touch downs unfortunately a few years ago it mis fired severely injuring a young man. We also ( the news papers never tell this part) have a great young man with downs syndrome who always gets a few jv plays and we often ended practice with him running the ball and the rd he scored in a varsity game went viral. We have been named the school with the most sperit quite a few years in a row in wa. The header resighned this year after 18 years and the previous was there for 30 plus so hopefully a lot if these traditions will stick around.

I'll write that one down.

To piggy back on observing the national anthem properly a lot of schools up hear have some sort of rotc color guard. It amazes me how many teams don't remain in observance untell the colors are retired.

We do not introduce a starting line up. We come out as a team. We are known for that now. (Most of) our parents love it too.

We actually have our team enter the stadium in two single file lines side by side. The unique part about the entrance is that the team comes down the middle of the home bleachers then along the outside of the fence toward our respective endzone.
We play in a bowl stadium with bleachers in the side of a hill. We enter in the gate at the top of the hill and are able to continue to the steps. Obviously this would not be possible for a team that has traditional bleachers above ground.
The alumni/families/friends enjoy seeing the players up close before the game. They'll stand up and cheer as the guys are making their way down. This was a tradition that started the year before I took over here. We kept it this season.
I like it as a reminder to the team that they are playing for their team, school, and community. It certainly gets the players jacked up before the game. Just a great tradition overall for us.

Ours is one of the only teams in the area that manages to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory week after week.

We are a small Christian school, and two of my favorite "traditions" have nothing to do with the game. When we leave the locker room to the field for warm-ups the players' moms go into the locker room and leave a note for the son and pray in front of his locker. When the team returns to the locker room the boys read the notes and then share the scripture on the note left by their moms.
When we leave the locker room for the last time the players' dads or (uncles, grandfathers, guardians) are waiting outside to walk with them to the stadium. Good stuff.

We pride ourselves on being the most physical team on the field. We do our stretches then go break it down on the 50. That's when we proceed to do chicken drill on the 45 right in front of everybody especially the other team. 1 on 1 3-4 yards apart run over the other guy. Alot of people look at us like we are crazy. Our kids love it!!

Our mascot is the Phoenix. We have a huge metal cut out of a Phoenix rising into the air. It's hooked up to a propane tank and has a pilot light in its mouth. When we score, the Phoenix shoots a four or five foot long stream of fire from its mouth. The ROTC operates it for us on the track at each home game. It's pretty cool as long as you score points.

For all home games we announce the starters game one the next three games we announce team players in numerical order the last game is for the seniors only. This way every player gets his name announced at least once during the home games.

Threatens to stab two opposing players in the parking lot after being suspended from school for choking a fellow student. Such are the joys of coaching youth football.

1) 5:30 AM Offseason Strength and Conditioning Program 2) 50 Mile Bike Ride Fundraiser (This year will be the "3rd Annual Husky Football Iditarod")
On gameday, we go out way earlier than most teams do (75 minutes before game time) and then come back in the locker room about 25 minutes before game time. They go to the bathroom, have some last minute meetings with position coaches, have some time to themselves, then we come out of the tunnel with the smoke 5 minutes before kickoff.

At my last stop, the local motorcycle club would line the track as the team walked in. They would all rev their Harley's as we came on the field. It was pretty sick

I'm lucky to be at a school that has a good football tradition. We have a few things that are unique and rather than list them, its easier to look here: tdfootball.com/Tradition.htmlWe also do a Pride Point system that is explained here: tdfootball.com/Pride_Points.htmlI get asked alot about what it is, and its just a way to measure your kids committment to the football program. The more they are committed, the more they get rewarded.

Trying to start some tradition here
We now use a point system for off season (similar to above from coach plaa)
Our camp is becoming "our thing"
Started hosting our own team camp here in July 2 years ago, it got pretty big last year and it should be even bigger this year. I have seen nearly every camp in Northern CA area and I can confidently say I think it is dollar for dollar the best overall camp in NorCal

The HC at my alma mater does a lot of unique stuff. He's won 5 section championships in CA and has over 200 wins, so he's doing something right. Here's a few things:
Weight training - 6:30 am year round. Heavy focus on non-traditional exercises (curls on bosu pad, speed squats, any kind of weird core exercise you can think of). Circuit style training all the time with 8 stations being done 3 times through. Does 1 day legs, 1 day upper, 1 day core, 1 day olympics, last day is competitive games or field work usually. Lift on game day.
Practice - Start every day with dynamics into some kind of physical hitting drills, even game day.
Defense - No real regard for scheme, 100% emphasis on pursuit and physicality.
Offense - Up tempo Wing-T. Goal is 5 seconds from huddle break to ball being snapped.

Like I said we break it down on the 50. The other team is over on their 40 warming up, we gather up in a horseshoe leaving the open side to the opponent. We do this drill everyday in practice so kids already have guys they usually go with. We just say first two up, 2 guys line up 3-4 yards apart and on the whistle they hit, no ball carrier, just trying to whip the man in front of you. Alot of times there will be a big hit and everybody goes crazy then the other team will start looking. I'm sure they are thinking those idiots are just running in to each other and liking it? In other words it's going to be that way all night.

We've been really good our first 2 years 11-1, 13-1, so everything has been positive. Everything is always good when you're winning. We played a decent team for our district title this year and whe we started our chicken drill I saw the line group on the other team tapping each other to look at us. I knew then they were beat, we were up 35-0 at the half. It was in their head from the start. If course we have a really good pregame atmosphere, great sound system, music blaring, fans there early, smoke, tunnel, the pre game hitting probably just confirmed what those kids might have already been thinking.
