I don't have any in this group of Seniors, but I have a Jr. LB who has 1 offer at a FCS school as of now. Hoping to get more schools interested in him by the end of this school year.

Our ILB is signing with Virginia Tech today. His brother was a VT signee last year. Great football players, even better young men.

I know that the hoopla is getting extreme in some cases, but seeing all these guys reach a goal makes it an awesome day. I was lucky enough to get to sign on signing day, and looking back it was one of the best days of my life for sure.

We have our QB signing with a D-2...it may not sound great, but it's the highest we've had in quite sometime and it's good for our program as we in the process of rebuilding.

I hate what singing day has become. I hate what tom lemming, scout.com, rivals and other recruiting organization has done to singing day. I hate the fact their are conferences in this country that engage in over singing players and not treat scholarships as a 6month to 1 yr deal then dispose of players like a cheap {censored} if they do not make the cut right away.

Supposedly schools, including Florida and Auburn, are claiming that their scholarships are "four-year" scholarships, not one-year renewable ones. Thought that was interesting. Don't have any first hand experience with it.

Don't have any first hand experience with it. Read today that the majority of Big 10 teams are giving 4 year scholarships instead of the traditional 1 year renewals but even the coaches comments made it seem as if they weren't sure how they would work in some scenarios. Our QB is going D3 and one of our DE's is going to Vanderbilt, and I take full credit for coaching him to be an absolute physical specimen!

Had a player sign with West Point, Michael McFadden. Played running back and middle linebacker for us, will be a strong safety/OLB type for Army. It was a pretty exciting day for everyone, had a signing ceremony in front of the whole school.

Congrats to all players and all coaches involved on this big day.
We have 2- CB Tee Shepard, who is already enrolled at Notre Dame and seeking his degree in mechanical engineering (!), and WR Deontay Greenberry who made news by decommiting from ND and signing with Houston instead.
We'll be scrambling in the next couple of months to get kids placed at the other levels.

Considering that these are kids (young adults) it is refreshing to see some taking the student-athlete portion very seriously, not so certain I did! That makes me just as excited as the fact that our kids are getting a chance at the next level and is the reason the DE Caleb Azubike is going to Vanderbilt. Parents wanted him going somewhere where academics were the expectation. Congrats to all.

fballcoachg- definitely. It is evident that academics are becoming more important when you look at Stanford and Vandy's recruiting classes compared to 10 or even 5 years ago.

None. We win on clean living or coaching. Funny, We have never had a Div 1 football kid ever in the history of the school. Two DII kids in the last twenty years. A handfull of NAIA kids who stuck it out for four years.

One of the guys I coach with just "signed" with Concordia. Which I find a little odd, since I don't remember him speaking great English.

Congratulations to all coaches, and the players. Especially to the guys who didn't get the hoopla, playing college ball at all requires some talent and perseverance.

Not sure if you are correct on this... Schollies have been 1 year renewable grant in aids as far as I can remember.
