Every year I come up with a slogan or theme that we stress as a coaching staff. Such as "Weather the Storm" "Win every rep" "Believe" "100%, 100% of the Time". This year I am struggling on what I want to use as a slogan. What is your team's slogan or theme. Explain it if there is a hinden meaning. Thanks.

New HC just took over and he's HUGE into the character end of things with regard to HS football. So ours is the old Bear Bryant quote (at least that's what our T-shirts and website currently focus on.)
"Show class, have pride and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself."

"Show Up, Work, or get the F**K out!"
At least that is the quote I have in my head for my team

Lou Holtz classic "W.I.N." what's important now Using that one too. Took over a program in December that has won six games in three years (1-8 last fall), hasn't won a championship since 1975 or beaten arch rival since '89. Seven of our opponents have been to regional finals or beyond in last decade, we've never won a playoff game. Did I mention we're smallest enrollment in league? Obviously can't make all that up over night so we need to focus on one day, one workout at a time.

Try "baby steps".... Ok totally kidding, but that's the mentality you're presenting, blb, and I like it.

Have already used "baby steps" in describing us to others but not around the kids, 13.
Just tell them we're in "Phase I" right now.

Don't think we have one, but the 'theme' of the season would absolutely be borrowed from Coach Dos: DO WORK!

"There's No Place Like Dome" -- actually we aren't to that level, but I saw that on another high school's shirt -- Missouri's championship is in the TWA Dome in St. Louis...

"Earn It"
Trying to get the kids to focus on the fact that Friday nights are a reflection of what they do in the weight room in the off-season and at practice during the week. Nothing will be given to them on the field, they need to 'Earn it' by coming ready to work every day.

Iam sure it was stolen from somewhere.

I stole this from the board...
"Speed kills, strength punishes"
We have really been pushing the off season conditioning. Added 2 new strength coaches and one does a wicked metabolic program that really has helped.

That's been ours for many years, to the point that the HC got it tatooed on his arm.

"Hold the Rope" We began talking about this 2 years ago and as a result it has stuck. We use the analogy of if you were hanging over a cliff on a rope, whom would you trust would be able to yank you to safety. We have gone as far as each kid has a piece of the rope that we have given them and an actual rope that is brought toevery practice and game. As a result, we have managed to qualify for our state playoffs for the past two years. The kids really bought into it and our intentions are to continue with it.
