What is your favortie big time hit ( I saw Tog's Earl Campbell clip and thought about all the good ones I have seen).
I always show my teams the Atwater hit on Okoye to Jack them Up.
What would you say is a must have big hit on the hitlist?

use one from when i played... our outside lb teed off on a swing route and hit the kid just right when he was off balance and made him do a back flip...literally...landed on his knees after full rotation and just collapsed..went to the hospital with broken ribs..kids love it..I need to transfer it to dvd so I can put it on here... pro or college hits I like classic butkis guy tried to rip your head off... coryott was a stud in college

Wilbur Marshall on the Lions QB in 1985. He was literally out cold before he hit the ground.

In 1988 or so a Bengals DB hit Don Beebe in the air from behind, flipped him upside down... the ball popped loose, Beebe landed on the top of his head, and the DB recovered and made an unbelievable one-handed catch when the ball was about an inch off the ground.
Not as crunching as the Atwater hit, but it has an extra element of finesse.

Washington Redskins TE (don't remember his name) coming across the middle and there waits Chuck Cecil....CLANK! Right on the chin...knocks the TE's helmet off and he laid there nearly unconcious (he may have been unconcious)...Thing is Cecil was only about 185-190 on a lanky frame.
If I remember correctly, Chuck Cecil got fined by the NFL for the hit, but the TE later said it was a clean hit.

Coryatt on the dude from TCU. Was his name McPhereson? Yes it was. I still remember Dr jerry punch and Ron Franklin saying" The TCU coaching staff was worried about their rec running that route."

any hit chuck cicel made. he played with the packers and cardinals I believe.
I saw him lay out a rec one time. legal hit and every thing.
chuck was fined so much for what the nfl said were legal but not needed hits. he had to retire because it was costing him to much.
I just do not think the nlf wanted a 6ft 160 lb white safety laying out people like jerry rice.

I was there. It was cold and wet. Left college station and it was almost 80 and got to Ft Worth and it was in the high 30's. I believe that date was Nov 7, 1991.
