Coaches I ask for your help. Especially if anyone has done this before. I am doing an independent course. And the topic I have chosen is building your own football program from scratch.
The only information that I need is eguiptment and prices:
What would you suggest - balls, sleds, etc. and prices (or where to get qoutes)
If anyone has this information already please PM me.
Thanks for your help.

The equipment is the easy part. I started a 400 kids program from scratch and dont charge them to play. The vision/mission and stakeholders are the key along with absolutely solid coaching with everyone on the same page right out of the gate. www.screamingeaglefootball.com

The list of individual items is endless. Areas you need to break down would include:
1. Equipment - Needs, Wants, and Desires. You NEED footballs, uniforms, pads, helmets, tool kit, etc. You WANT a sled, jugs machine, and the like. You DESIRE ... things that you may never get, but you still ask the big donor for.
2. Staff - Coaches, coaches, coaches. Getting one more paid assistant instead of that brand new editing system might be something to think about. Budget for clinics, camps, and conventions. Who pays for the Athletic Trainer? Don't be afraid to put it in the budget.
3. Facilities - Practice and game fields, who does the lining and set up (Don't assume its maintainence!), Buses - motor coach or yellow, who drives, Concessions at home games, ... the list goes on.
