2x2, motion across to 3x1, tunnel screen to #1 on the 3 wr side. #2 wr kicks out widest player #1 wr (motion man), kicks out alley player pst- kicks out any over hang player, or block man that followed motion psg= blocks pslb c, bsg, bst= avoid contact with dl, and block any off colored jersey at lb to S level backside wr= attack free safety.
great play, especially against blitz.

With the kid we have had at QB the last two years, speed option or QB counter. 3X1 with bs slant has been good to us too.

Never thought of running this inside the 10! I like it. Building off what realdawg said, out of trips- #1 and 2 runs slants with number 3 running a flat route-----great two point play too

3x1 set. lined up on the numbers, 1WR side runs outside release and a 5yd slant to the near post. 3WR side: #3 is lines up tight to the tackle and runs a drag or choice route. You an also put #3 on yo-yo motion to determine if it is man or zone coverage, presnap, to give the QB an immediate read (slant to 1WR side if in man). #1 and #2 are on the hash side/ball side numbers (one of which is on the LOS) aligned in a bunch relationship and they run scissors.

warrior, how do you run mesh. i love the idea of the play but had really hard time completing it even in practice. protection breaks down before rec. get there sometimes, how do you run and how to speed it up for protection problems/ thanks,

You can run Mesh many a way, most have a couple of versions in whatever there shallow series is.
For us (It's out of Ace/TE split end to one side with Slot/Twins Left to the other).
To the TE Side #1 (Our Z) Runs a Post #2 (Our Y/TE) runs a shallow at 4-6 yards just behind where the linebackers were.
To the Twins side #1 (Our X) Runs a 10 yard Dig #2 (Our B/Slot) runs a 3-4 yard shallow drag across the middle.
What the QB will see is the B and TE crossing each other (They will continue to run their shallow drag's if we see man, or settle if we see zone)
The X will be the 3rd level running a dig across the field. The Z will be the 4th level over the top running a post.
This is not my favorite spread play, but it's how we run our mesh.

Basics of the play - One high route (ours is corner) - two mesh route runners - two flat route runners
Our quarterback reads high, playside mesh, playside flat, backside mesh, backside flat
- the two mesh route runners are the key - if they see man they keep running while gaining ground - if they see zone they sit in the first open area past the center or the mesh point.
- another big key is making the mesh happen as fast as possible - do not allow the mesh route runners to get upfield and then go in - have them go at an immediate angle to the mesh point and then find a spot on the other side.
- our mesh point is at 6 yards - the mesher on the right sets the mesh - if he gets off path, then it is the responsibility of the mesher on the left to adjust to him
- after the mesher catches the ball, he gets immediately up the field.
We averaged about 10 yards per catch on this play.
I hope this helps, if you want to hear more, pm me and I will be glad to help

Assuming we stay in Gun, from the 10 nothing really changes on 1st/2nd down, assess the defense and attack it, in our case, run would probably be veer, ct trey option or power, pass would probably be quick game or sprintout. 3rd and goal from the 10 would be something like: quick game, sprintout, counter, screen (vs pressure). Generally, when we get inside the 10 on first down, we get under center and power, counter, option our way in. OSV is a favorite of ours inside the 10.
