Gents, its time to plan the third annual Double wing /46 Gambler clinic weekend in Newmanstown Pa. Please respond with your vote for the most convenient weekend. - Steve
Clinic Cost is going to be 50 dollars per day.
The first day of the clinic will be all dw all day... 8 am until we finish...
* I am looking for one or more youth coaches to be guest speakers on his success with the Calande style Good/God system. Bye the way, CONGRATS TO COACH DON NASH WHO WAS IN ATTENDANCE LAST YEAR AND RECEIVED COACH OF THE YEAR HONORS IN HIS ORGANIZATION. Coach Nash, If you read this, Id love for you to share your stories about your first year with the double wing. I am also thinking that Coach Stevens if available would do an outstanding job. We have room for more than one speaker.
AM- player placement and essential xs and os of the Calande style dw inluding all of the Good/God stuff and the Domino and Dynamite line calls.
PM- essential techniques and strategy discussion, important drills.
Both sessions will involve some on stage demos.
The second day of the clinic is for the tough guys...its going to be more physical and demanding on the attendees. We are going to start with basic 46 alignment rules and questions and answers...then jump right into the drills for each of the 46 Gambler positions. I assume most of the coaches in attendance will be veteran Gambler coaches so I want to get away from the white board and focus more on drills and techniques. We will also spend some time on how to package stunts.
At this point the clinic weekend will be 50 dollars for one day or 90 for both.
for those of you that want to know "what do I get?"...
chalk talk, video breakdown, stage demos, walk thrus and discussion, drills, strategy, tips, question and answers, complimentary breakfast stuff (last year our gracious hosts set up a nice spread of donuts, pastries, coffee, juice, bottled water and more) and I treated for lunch If I recall. And as always, guests feel free to video tape the clinic.
Anyhow, its very early in the planning process as I still dont know where/If I will be coaching next year...but I am beginning to plan and will need to reserve our community center.
