Hey Knighter....
When did Aurelia and the Remsen schools go 8 man?

Aurelia was 8 man the first year Iowa went back to having 8 man classes. I believe it was in 2000 or 2002. Remsen St. Mary's was the same, Remsen-Union went 8 man in 2004.
Had several more schools make the jump to 8 man in this re-districting period.

On a side note Herky, Aureila and Remsen St. Mary's have both been powerhouses in 8 man football. Both schools are very well coached, and the athletes have worked very hard as well. Steichen (St. Mary's) signed at UNI last year, and Aurelia (Berg) also signed somewhere. Still tough for us smaller schools to get a kid noticed, but at least now schools are taking a look a little.

The Massey ratings are really good, but they have one weird kink: They rely on "inter-locking" rings of teams.
If the only connection between 4A and the rest of the teams (A thru 3A) is that a team (3A) plays a team outside of their conference (4A).
If the 3A team beat the 4A team last year, then all of the rest of the ratings reflect that one game. It assumes that 3A teams are better than 4A teams.
