Just curious about how each of you coaches structure your pre-game routine just prior to kickoff (Stretching, kicking specialists, quarterbacks and receivers, individual offense, ind. defense, team offense, team defense, etc?)
Everybody does things different for various reasons. I can usually tell if a program is well-coached or seem to be well-prepared by watching them warm-up in their pre-game. Our pre-game routine was laughable this year, yet we finished 10-0 in the regular season.
I'm not even going to begin to describe what we did (or should I say didn't do), but I am interested in some things you have done in your pre-game schedule that has helped your kids prepare for the game at hand.
Anybody have any good ideas to share?

We preach about the importance of blocking and tackling, so we put a lot of emphasis on blocking and tackling drills in our warm ups.

We go out 1:15 before the game and do the kicking. The regular pregame is very basic. 1. Rah-rah type jumping jacks 2. stretching 3. dynamic warm-ups 4. (flexbone team) QB/RB's work mesh and pitches QB throw routes to WR TE's & OL work blocking 5. Get together and run team offense

We don't do a lot before the game. Our schedule looks like this: 35 Minutes Before - Specialists on the Field 25 Minutes Before - Team on Field & Warmup in Defensive Position Groups 20 Minutes Before - Team Offense 15 Minutes Before - Team Off Field (Only the Kids Go In, They Say What they need to Say) 10 Minutes Before - Team to Endzone & Head Coach Talks 5 Minutes Before - Introductions/National Anthem
