I am in need of new headsets as well as a good VCR or DVD remote control to use to break film down. Also some kind of editing program to make highlight films and I was wondering if I could get some suggestions of what is good and reasonably priced. Thanks a lot.

If you're going old school on the VCR stuff, I like the old Go Video stuff. If you're using a computer program with digital camera, I'm sure other guys on here are happier with what they use than I am.

For just making cut ups and such Pinacle Studio 10 is great. Easy to use and inexpensive. Keep in mind this is not tied in to a scout program of any kind. If you want a VCR/DVD player set up for breaking down film it'll run you 1100+- that's with a cowboy remote and it don't get any better then that.

As far as the remote situation goes, after your responses, I'm thinking that it would be best to go with the editing software for the computer that comes with a remote. I think that I've got my headset situation taken care of, we are going to be going with the Telex Legacy. With that being said, should I push my district and ask for some editing software or wait another year? What type of editing program do you guys recommend? Thanks a lot for the input.
