Has anyone had any success using Drones as a view of their HUDL Sideline replays? We have a mavic 2 zoom, and I’m trying to see if anyone has had success with using it before we looked at buying a RC Pro controller that has hdmi output.

First: you mentioned it, but for any idea who doesn't know you need an RC Pro or Pro 2 remote to make this work. Those are the remotes with HDMI output; the basic one doesn't include that. Second: the RC Pro has an HDMI mini connector, so you'll need an adapter. No big deal, but be aware. Third: set your drone for 1080p30 output or it won't work. It's not well documented, but Hudl Sideline only works with that resolution (or lower?) and frame rate. Fourth: check your state rules for drone use. In Iowa, the home team sets the policy for go/no go. However, realistically you're more likely to get geofenced in a way that prevents you from flying the drone on the road. We document locations so we know when we can't use it, and we take our ez hi rise. We bought a drone case that attaches to the pole, so we still use the drone but we aren't flying it. Fifth: you don't actually need to put the EZ unit in the EZ anymore. We put it on our sideline beside our drone operator. Just makes it easier to set up the TV and whole sideline rig. Sixth: having a remote with a flimsy HDMI cable attached can and will result in broken cables and connectors. We're still sorting out a good system for this, but we've broken 2 HDMI/mini adapters and now the HDMI port on the endzone brick itself. In the off-season, well build some kind of mount for the remote so the cables can't get pulled and broken. Outside of those things, works great. Glad we went this direction, but early adopters always gets to figure it out the hard way. I'm not sure if the mavic 2 zoom works with the rc pro. I know that none of the mavic mini line work with it; we had to get the more expensive air 2S. Obviously do your research for compatibility. Good luck!
