HELP:
Our team got brand new white Nike jerseys this year. We wore them 2 weeks ago during an absolute downpour, but luckily we played on turf, so they stayed pretty clean. JV the next morning however, did not. Grass field with 2+ inches of rain overnight does not make for a clean Saturday morning. One of our kids asked if we should wear our old white jerseys instead of the new ones because he was worried about getting it washed afterwards. I opened my mouth and said I would wash it for anyone that had a problem. To my wife's dismay I ended up with 9 white jerseys to clean over the weekend, and they were MUDDY
After 3 loads of soaking in oxy-clean, spot treating, and washing, I've got 7/9 of the jerseys back to their original condition. I'm stuck with 2 though that have very clear mud stains on them after 3 (now 4) washes. Any tricks that have worked for anyone other than what I've done?
I've tried soaking and washing both in oxy-clean and borax, spot-treating with shout, tide rescue with oxi, and a couple other random stain removers that my wife had, but I still can't get these dang mud stains out.

where i've been, coaches always washed all the fb stuff.
we immediately put them in to soak after the game friday night, whether home or away, let them soak overnight, then washed them on saturday. that seemed to work. waiting til saturday morning did not work.

These went right in the washer within the hour after the JV game was over. First wash didn't do anything, even after scrubbing the stained spots with water and detergent before washing. Soaked them after that then tried washing again, didn't work, spot treated and washed, did a little bit, then spot treated and let sit, then soaked, then washed.... i'm calling it good enough at this point

if you don't soak them overnight, all night long, with oxy-clean (i think it was oxy-clean? i never had to do the washing), it doesn't work. do not wash them til the next morning.
or at least, it never did for us. overnight, all night long. it's the only thing that worked. i guess the 8-10 hours of soaking got the stains out. then wash.
