What kind of one liners do you hear as a coach from players, parents or less experienced coaches? stuff that they obviously heard on Monday Night football or Prime Time or College game day for example...
obviously some things we hear...
"8 in the box coach, gotta throw"
"3rd and 4, passing down coach"
"gotta pass to set up the run -KEEP EM HONEST"(YEAH)
"kids got happy feet coach"

Heard this one yelled to us by a mother as we left the field at halftime in the opening round of the playoffs: "C'mon coaches!! Get creative and throw the ball some!!"
This was fantastic considering we had lost our QB the night before the game (and this was widely publicized) and we had actually thrown the ball statistically more than in any of our other first halves. We had our first 4 passes dropped by wide-open receivers.

We had a game this year where we were getting waxed in the 1st half. We are on our 3rd RB due to grades and injuries, and down big. I tell my OC to run the clock so we can go regroup. So we are running dive and trap and all that. Being a little agressive but running it down to halftime. BEcause it is almost 1/2--time the defense is playing a prevent and so we are chewing up 5-10 yards a pop. A dad starts yelling "yeah coaches that is what you should have been doing all game. Look at the yardage you are gaining just run the ball they can't stop it." No _ _ _ _ sherlock. They are dropping 5 men into deep coverage.

I was scouting a game this last fall. Due to the lack of facilities the opposing school's coaches were not in the box but basically the top row of the bleachers.
The game was getting a little tense and the visitors were struggling a bit after blowing a 2 TD lead.
All of a sudden I hear (and captured on our video) "What in the f*** did you just call?"
Classic. Although I had to warn our Coach that some of the things he may hear on tape did not come from me.

A team (BIGDADDY D this was while playing you) had an out standing horse of a running back (Bronson Farr). On their first drive we were stopping them for 4-6 yards a pop. They were tearing up our defense. Our head coach at the time, who was the offensive co-ordinator, was getting a little worried yelled out at the DC. "Just blitz everybody!"

Parent stopped my DC on the way back to the locker room (halftime) and told him we needed to drop our LB's back to 10 yards off the ball so they could read better. This one can from a prent at a girls B-ball game. The girls team was down to 7 plays due to injury and illness. One girl had fouled out another was sitting on the bench with ice on her ankle. The girl playing post picked up her fourth foul and the parent started yelling for the coach to take the girl out before she picked up her fifth foul.

When I was in college and playing DT we were in the middle of defending the final drive of the half when the other team spiked the ball to stop the clock. After the play I heard one of the GA's yell..."SCHAUMLOFFEL, you have to INTERCEPT that!!!!. I turned to the other DT, who is now the DL coach for the Dolphins and said..."What the .... did he just say?" We both just laughed as we got ready for the next play.

How about this...Getting smoked 35-0 in the first half Towards the end of the half a fan yells out from the stands "Put the other guys in!!!" We had just enough players to fill a defense and offense We still laugh about this Like we had all these spare All Americans in the locker room
