Have you ever had a kid sit off the field for having the mouthpiece half way in their jaw and halfway outside on their cheek without any warning?

Had an opposing kid just yesterday sent off for a mouthpiece issue, but I assume it was because he had a red mouthpiece, not quite the same, but the closest I can think of.

Not sure your exact situation, but I've seen kids sent off before because the ref told them to fix their mouthguard, jersey, or other equipment, and they didn't do it

They play before the player was told to "Calm down"

Sounds like the kid was being a dbag and the ref was trying to get him off the field without dinging your team.

Last week our opponent was in a 2 minute drill to end the half. With the clock running the refs sent their 2nd best player off for a play because his knee pads weren't covering his knees.
I was happy that one of their best guys wasn't out there for a play, but they stopped the clock to send him off, so I'm not sure we won out on that trade.

Influence of NFL (where they don't have to wear mouth pieces) and CFB where more and more players are wearing "pants" that don't even cover their knees, much less any kind of knee pads.
HS kids trying to look "fleek" like what they see on TV.
I'm betting player in OP was a WR.
Rules don't apply to the "stars."

Why were knee pads invented? ??

Why were knee pads invented? ?? Obviously originally to protect the wearer. But people - coaches included - forget that knee pads also protect a tackler's head somewhat if it makes contact with BC's knee.

Knee pads were invented to protect the opponents face and head.
If you believe the tee-tiny knee pads that ARE LEGAL protect your knee, you are crazy.
