We have hosted our own football camp for the past several years at a retreat near the town where our school is. Normally this time of year we don't deal with too much in the way of weather issues with the exception of the occasional afternoon thunderstorm. Our camp is at the end of this week and it looks as though it may be a total wash. My question is, we already have some indoor time for team building events built into our current schedule. We have one practice scheduled for Friday, two for Saturday and one for Sunday. If we cannot get outside, what are some things, both football, and non football that you would do to keep them from destroying the place (lol, just joking)?

What do the indoor facilities look like? Gym? Aux gym? Classrooms? I know you said it’s a retreat but what does that entail?

It consists of a dorm, with an open common area (probably 16'x30' and a chapel next door. The chapel has a half dozen classrooms with one meeting room. The meeting room is probably 24'x24'.

Great opportunity to utilize visual learning. If there's one thing that kids today are all about it's visual learning. Clinic videos of blocking/tackling demonstrations; route running; proper fundamentals of throwing/catching; O Line techniques for gap scheme blocking/zone blocking; man to man coverage techniques; etc. etc. Show some highlight films. Also maybe a really good football movie with a message to finish off the week.
In the "big" room create some competitive activities: Towel wars (one on one tug-o-wars using towels) tournament for example. Bear crawl relays. Sally-up/Sally down ab workout. QB/Center exchanges (UC and Gun). Football related activities in small spaces that are work, but also are fun.

Maybe you can start game planning for your first opponent. Formations, plays, fronts etc.

16x30 is plenty of room for box play, inside run walk thru, run fits, etc.
As an OL guy there is room to practice initial pass sets, hand fighting, and big boy competitions as stated earlier. Push up hand fighting: get in push up position and try to make the other guys knees or elbows touch the floor.
Non-football stuff you can do summer camp stuff like red light green light, duck duck goose, bear crawl relays, frog jump relays, all sorts of stuff.
