Good at keeping our young ladies hydrated until they need to turn it into a battle axe and cave some ones head in during lunch!

There were memes about the Stanley cups going around on social media a couple of months ago, maybe longer by now. I'll admit I had to consult the powers of Google to realize those memes weren't about the hockey trophy!

My daughter and her friends carry one around every where they go. Wont drink out of the water bottles provided at track practice. Only out of her Stanley. When I asked her about drinking the water provided I got "ewww dad, thats gross!"

Hmm...I have yet to see them weaponized, but those things would absolutely do some serious damage!

Don't fret. Within 12 months there will be some other overpriced, trendy, social media BS they "just have to have".
Remember Hydroflasks?

Hmm...I have yet to see them weaponized, but those things would absolutely do some serious damage! We had a girl beat another girl with one. I had not heard of them so when I heard the story I wondered why a girl had a replica of the Stanley Cup with her.

I have one…it never leaves the house…I do use it but I can’t bring myself to use it in public. I know this may drop my credibility on here but they do work really well!

My wife was on a work trip for a week and I used hers while she was gone.. Won't admit it to her because of the harrassment I give her about carrying that giant thing around... but it was kind of nice

Our school confiscates the Stanley Cups from students at the school entry metal detectors and security checkpoints - backpacks and Chromebook bags are also searched. Any soft drink bottles, sport drink bottles, or water bottles that have been opened already must be thrown in the garbage barrel. No drinks in a can. No combs or hair brushes that come to a point on the handles. There's more but you get the idea - pretty strict on what is permitted through the doors. Same procedures for athletic events in this school system! Not only that, a student under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult, and no adult can have more than 4 persons under 18 with them at sport events.

Does your paycheck come from the school district or the Department of Corrections?

This seems like a lot of enforcement and headaches. If I am a student that is going to hit someone with a hard object I could just use my World History book. I suppose though since I am not hydrated maybe I won't be at peak performance and it will soften the blow. I understand there's more to it than just the clubbing someone, I wouldn't want to be the one running the TSA checkpoint.

It is interesting as you read the articles about the incident, that the local news source reports are all pretty much the same. Student with a history of violence attacked a girl from behind and left her pretty badly beaten up before she was pulled off of her.
You start getting into some of the national news sources and suddenly the attacker is transgender and is a biological male. It is amazing how the news will get distorted and thrown about as it gets further away from the actual event. None of the news sources in PA mention anything about the attacker being transgender.

1 administrator, 2 teachers, and 2 Law Enforcement Officers at each checkpoint every morning. It is a headache!! We do not have many textbooks at our school....BUT they have zero respect for the Chromebooks and they do throw them at each other in a fight and bash their opposition over the head with them! I didn't even mention the marijuana confiscated some days, and the vapes - and the occasional pistol.

Do you guys require see through backpacks?

But, we as a society want to give people more and more free {censored} so we can feel better about ourselves and politicians can win elections. And you? You just shut up and work harder for their free stuff. Ain't it grand?

I am sure the Stanleys are good at keep drinks warm/cold but they leak I think. Plastic gatorade squeeze bottle is better for keeping hydrated, not making a mess, and for keeping more money in my bank account.

In response to those who commented on my previous post, it is sad that a traditional urban school setting must be treated like a prison; however I know of rural schools that have the same type of set-up or system in place. We have 4 versions of an Alternative school (4 buildings on 1 campus (with students assigned to a building and teaching staff, depending on the nature of their breaking of the Code of Conduct and how many times), depending on the infractions and/or disabilities that a student guilty of severe infraction, where a student gets assigned in the worst cases.
Clear or mesh backpacks are mandated, but some of the coaches ordered heavy-duty non-transparent book bags for their athletes, and we have to take everything out and completely search it all.
BTW, on any given day we may have 4, 8, or up to 16 law enforcement officers in the bldg on duty.

Truly, I enlarge the font because another member asked me to do so. And the small default font is tough on the eyes, I will admit.

Years ago one of my younger cousins was being bullied(according to my uncle whos not a reliable source) by a older kid on the bus, he got the bully in a headlock and took a can of pop to the top of his head(ring end down). Put the kid in the hospital with a series of deep crescent shaped cuts in the top of his head as well as a fracture in his skull. Serious stuff.
