For those who do not know - he resigned last week (end of the first week in May, 2024).

Like, do you not have enough self awareness to realize you're an {censored}? I mean, after how many times of this happening do you realize this?
As Raylan Givens said- "If you run into an {censored} in the morning, you ran into an {censored}. If you run into {censored} all day, you're the {censored}."

But I think he did exercise some self-awareness in this case. The week before he survived a board vote and kept his job with the football team parents and players rallying behind him. Then he stepped down on his own this week. If nothing else, he deserves some self-awareness credit here. Didn't say credit. Some self-awareness credit.

The opposite probably. If you owe 125k in spousal support, probably should keep your job!

As I told someone (who knows or cares little about football) when the announcement was made that he was leaving Pell City on his own terms and by his own choice) ..... "he has a way of major controversy following him wherever he goes."
That little TV show ("Two-A-Days") in which he was featured several years ago (while he was at Hoover) started him down a path of "being too much in the spotlight for his behavior, habits, and lifestyle."
His season records and championships (in the big picture) are impressive; but, goodness at the baggage he brings over the past 15 years (give or take a year or 2). He lasted just 2 months (hired at the beginning of Jan 2020 and left by the end of Feb 2020) in the off-season as HC of The Ultimate Student Athletes Academy (or USA Academy) just outside Montgomery, AL (a private school that expecting to become the Alabama version of Florida's IMG Academy).
He'll likely land at another school somewhere soon, in the Southeast, where they will take a chance on him.
