Just from our 2015 State Championship team we have 7 currently on NFL rosters or practice squads. 5 more who are finishing up at Utah, Minnesota, BYU, Weber State, Utah Tech because of missions and the extra year of eligibility from Covid. We were loaded. We talked about this a few years back, but this is AMAZING!!!!

They just need a chance, Coach! People been sleeping on them! 😂 HAHA That being written, I am serious. Every varsity team I have ever coached has had at least 2 kids that ended up playing D1. Mind you that doesnt mean that every graduating class has had that. I coached a team a few years back that had 4 sophomores that ended up going D1, but no seniors on that level. Tell me you coach in the Trinity or Mission League without telling me you coach in the Trinity or Mission League. Or one of those super public schools like Centennial, Mission Viejo, or San Clemente.

I have been fortunate to be on staffs with D1 talent, as far as me coaching them not so much. 2 D1 lineman, 1 D1 DB (played in the national championship with Oregon, signed as an undrafted free agent in the NFL), 1 D1 running back (ended up playing corner in college, signed as an Undrafted free agent in the NFL), 1 D1 QB (Preferred walk-on), and 1 D1 Kicker!
Ton of kids have gone to Juco for a semester or so but never really finish out. Had one kid who played Juco and then went on to p pretty decent college career and is finishing up this year, he has been told that he might have a shot at being an undrafted free agent this year. Several kids that tried small college ball but did not last. Most said it was more of a job and was not fun after high school

I've never been a position coach with an NFL kid. I might have one now, but it's up to him way more than it's up to me.
At the high school level there's a number of D1s, but it's largely D2 types. The best is still in the NFL, but his dad played 10+ years in the league and both his brothers were P5 signees. I just watched.

No, but somewhat nearby. Or previously in the top leagues in Arizona. So, most years the talent the opposing teams have is roughly the same as ours.

2 currently on FCS rosters and 3 that were on the rosters. About every other year. Had one bypass FCS to stay home and play bad DII.
Best chance is a punter for next class.

So next year makes my 12th year as HC. From schools with 2400 kids to now 432 kids. The school I was at for the 1st 6 years as a HC, probably had 20 FBS/FCS kids in those 6 years. School 2, 1 year - 1 FBS, 1 FCS School 3, 2 years - 4 FBS, 2 FCS School 4 (the small one) - going on year 3 this year - 1 FCS, next year will probably have 2 FBS and 1 FCS in this class. 2 currently on NFL rosters to end the season.
I am in Metro Atlanta. 2 teams I played against in my conference at school 1. 1 foe had about 60 in 6 years FBS/FCS the other had around 42ish.
