Do any leagues do a media day where they interview all the teams and do a league preview with news papers or news stations come and interview coaches and players?

Our county, which has 15 high schools, use to do one at the big arena in our town. Not sure if they are still doing it. We would each have a table and decorate it with a helmet and what not. Take about 3 players. It was kind of silly, basically everyone just sits there and talks to other players and coaches. Very little media, I might have answered a couple questions. They did feed the kids so that was nice, but most of the teams in our county stink, so they get no attention. The ones that don't stink, don't stink because they have recruited the other schools' players, so it is a bit awkward.
Plus, everyone knows this including the media, but nobody talks about it, because the district pretends that there is no recruiting. They have figured out that by looking the other way, we will have 1-3 pretty good teams each year, even won a state title a few years ago. So when coaches and parents complain about how we massively underfund football compared to the counties around us, they can say well so and so is winning. Sorry for the rant, but you can probably tell it is a sore spot for some of us. Ha.
