I have been part of some long seasons and they are a grind. Thankfully we won it one year and my first feeling was relief. Relief we won it and relief that it was over. Literally felt myself exhale. Then joy for the kids and me the other coaches. |

The reason that real athletes show up for the first team meeting is because they want to play in THIS GAME.
well, here it is, and nobody gave it to them...they earned it.
Whatever the outcome, this will be a lifelong memory for them.

I have had 1 15 game season, 2 14 game seasons, and 6 13 game seasons. Winning helps it not be a grind as much but it still gets that way. We cut practice times way back as the season went to help with this.

OK. Are you going to the game? Yall are very talented and well coached. Kids seem to want to play for each other and will hit you in the face. I'm not sure. I live near Greensboro now but I have a five year old grandson so the holiday season is pretty busy. |

NFHS network is supposed to do a pretty good job at the State Game, from what I hear.

Just wrapped up a 13 game season. As the saying goes, the days are long and the years short.
Would’ve been 14 if OP hadn’t dropped us 😉

NFHS network is supposed to do a pretty good job at the State Game, from what I hear. If anyone following along cares.... Salem v Phoebus 4A Virginia Final 12/9 I watched a bunch of the KY, TN, and WV state games last weekend on NFHS and the coverage was very good overall. TN had the best setup. Best of luck Coach. |
