Do any of you guys have a copy of the De La Salle sled progression video? I had a copy of it at one time but am unable to find it again. Please let me know, I would like to obtain a copy of it again and begin using it with my linemen.

This is all I've ever seen. Is there an actually full video about the De La Salle blocking progression (by De La Salle coaches) that can be purchased?

I haven't seen it for sale, but I know it on coach Vass's hudl from his Patreon. I've watched it unfortunately the audio a pain most the time.

I bought it off Tim Murphy's website years ago. Not sure if it's still available there.

Those are supposed to be HS kids in that video? In 31 years as a head HS coach I only had one OL that came close to looking like those guys. In fact I coached OL for three years at a D-III college and those DeLaSalle kids would have dwarfed ours.

Listen to those guys talk at a clinic and they'll tell you they just have a bunch of regular, hard-nosed kids.

Listen to those guys talk at a clinic and they'll tell you they just have a bunch of regular, hard-nosed kids. It's all relative, of course, but they usually do compared to who they play. They aren't any more physically intimidating than O'Dowd or CVC or St. Francis or whatever.
The private schools are out here can be selective, certainly, but they do really seem to select for attitude and seriousness more than, say, Moreau Catholic. There's a reason they win so much and it's not all talent.

Was gonna ask about them? Saw some video and looked like they had the large, 3 foot splits. Does anybody know if they tightened them down to run outside veer?

So if you are doing it from near and the dive back is the half back running straight ahead at the T's butt, I think we used to tighten our splits so the QB could get there but I might be wrong. If the backs are say on the G, then the QB doesn't have as far to go, I would think. Also, my team didn't use the huge splits and we were option centered. I think it was so we could focus on double teams.

I think people/us miss the big picture. Its not what they do, but how they do it. It's drilled to perfection and drilled again. Its simple and perfect and standards are never lowered.
The day after a restaurant opens, the standards lower, they don't lower.

Exactly how my coach ran our program. I was not great player, was 6ft and 185 and not that strong. Did I mention slow as molasses? But I routinely blocked dudes that were much bigger and better than me in all the measurables, because of the technique and repetitions. I saw Coach Lad talking about giving feedback and paying attention to all the details and again this is how my coach was. I have shocked at watching coaches of really good programs that just let things go. I do think it is like Coach Lad said, it is just wired into us. I can't let it go. I have to point it out and try to correct it. My OLs have played over their heads. Sucks for my wife and kids, learning to control it at home, but I am who I am.

I remember watching a clinic film of him talking about them wanting to coach after every play and giving kids immediate feedback, and getting the plays down. The New Age style is reps reps reps, no matter if they are doing them wrong, correct in film study and not on the field.

I think I was just watching that last week. He talks about coaching them quick too though, so that you are still getting reps. I can't stand letting kids get reps doing something wrong. I will stop things and correct even if we lose reps. Doing it wrong = getting worse.

Yeah, he did talk about trying to do it as quick as possible, but he wants coaching after every snap and give kids feedback. Was the video the one of him doing the clinic in the gym?

Agreed.
This is the link, not sure.
Would love to get any other links you all know of or websites on DLS or anything similar. Thanks

No, that one is not the one I have. I have one with him doing a clinic on a gym floor. It shows more hands on type, he brings in players and everything.
Well two home moves later..I hope I still have it somewhere...LOL

I'll look for it. I had it on VHS then moved it to DVD. If I find it over weekend I'll see what I can do.
