loss of down

is there a loss of down for unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for NFHS Rules , 2nd down ran play short of 1 st down , offensive player gets called for late hit in the tackle pile after whistle , ref said it was a dead ball foul so we lose 3 rd down and goes to 4 th down
